Slightly off-topic: for all the people who've been complaining about B&M, note they accept AmEx (which has various cashback cards) and currently has an offer of £5 off of £20 spends.
    Useful to know.

To be fair I don't think I have ever seen anyone pay with Amex at B&M. Almost all cash in hand at my store!

I’ve used my Flexaccount to buy Tesco own brand Gift Card in store and used it to buy petrol in Tesco petrol station, it did freak the cashier out a bit and was told sometimes they work sometimes they don’t.

    Bought Waitrose GC.

Topped up Iceland bonus card, every £20 put on the card gets a free £1 added from Iceland.

Used card in M&S food hall by mistake as I don’t think they are in the scheme so later replaced that amount in my NBS account to keep it straight.

I put £220 in my NBS account on 1st of the month then I know exactly how much I need to spend to get £10 without boring adding up as only use it for the promotion, with £20 cushion so don’t go OD.

Having to wait 6 weeks after the end of the month in question to find out what qualifies and what doesn’t is quite clever of Nationwide as it encourages you to overspend as is the “I wonder if M&S food hall counts as a supermarket’ type confusion.

And at the end of all this I could be a whole £30 better off! Quite like it nevertheless 😊
Asda and sainsbury's both do Christmas savings cards similar to Iceland bonus card but pay out bonus in November. Now is a good time to topup using nationwide debit cards.

    Since when?
I'm sure they didn't at ours last time I asked ...

Can't see B&M in the list of Amex-accepting retailers and B&M doesn't seem an obvious fit amongst the "Spend £500 at Gleneagles and get £100 back"-type offers that Amex usually have.

Do you have a source for the B&M offer?

Tesco have a Xmas saver scheme whereby Clubcard points can be stored until November. It does seem that you can top this up by £200 (once per year) to get a £12 bonus. So means tying up £200 until Nov for a 6% gain. £200 at 3.4% for 9 months is ~£5 so £7 extra (plus the N'wide £10).

    I think.

I tried to put money into tesco Christmas savings once, store staff didn't have a clue what I was talking about. And it's a bit of a pain it being vouchers rather than a card you can dip into. In any case tesco isn't a great option for me, it's a bit of a trek and only a small Superstore. Will need to dig out my iceland bonus card though.

Yes, I forgot to mention that bit. You have to do this in store. The staff at the Service/Fags/Lottery counter at my local Tesco Extra had not a scooby about adding extra cash to the Xmas scheme. Even showed them instructions I got from an online help chat that they told me to show them.

Thought it might just be my local store but it seems not.

... it is staff rotation like stock rotation but in reverse ... I don't blame them too much, all retailers are suffering from staff (and stock) shortages.

I'm still spending the money I put on the Asda card last November. Really it's too early in the year for the Christmas bonus, but I'll be topping up this month. Have to put next month's somewhere else though, I just don't spend enough to take proper advantage of this offer.

The partnership is a recent development. I only became aware of it due to pop-ups in the app on my statement, and if you log into the AmEx website there are ads about it as well. Unfortunately the offer seems to have expired, I can't find it in the list of offers any more.
If you still don't believe me, a quick search about acceptance throws up these results: B&M and American Express.
