Have people received the cashback for purchasing gift cards at the supermarkets?

I bought Morrison's gift cards in Morrison's with my debit cards and have received the cashback.  I'm now using these for my spending.

Yes - because it was end of February and I was no where near £200 spend because Nationwide conveniently didn`t promote this offer "in advance",  I bought Morrison`s gift cards. They have not been awarded cashback. Does this mean buying gift cards at supermarkets is excluded from the offer?

I wouldn't have thought so, because Visa or Nationwide won't know what was bought. They'll just know you spent £xx in Morrisons. Assuming you actually bought them in a Morrisons store, and paid at a normal checkout, they ought to qualify.

When you say the end of Feb, was it the last couple of days? It's possible the transaction didn't settle until March therefore might have been included in the March calculation (which I realise doesn't help you).

Have you been paid any cashback at all? Remember the cashback's not actually due to be paid until 11 April, although Nationwide appear to be making the payments in phases so some people have already received theirs.

On my first purchase at Tesco in February I had a brain fart at the checkout and paid using the Tesco Pay+ app where my NW debit card was linked.

Despite it not being on the list of card wallets that qualify it was included in my February spending, cashback was credited yesterday.

February's showed this morning. It was more than expected because my statement shows a purchase on 15th Feb. and the next 1st March, both Tesco online grocery orders. Adding both of those together and 5% of the total equals the credit to my account. £8.53.
My total Tesco groceries spend for March should generate the maximum £10.

The first reported February payment was on 26th March.

This was over 2 weeks earlier than their target date of 11th April.

Yours was paid  10 days “early”, as was mine, so I am forecasting the 1st of May or thereabouts.

On the assumption that processing the cashback payments imposes a non-trivial load on Nationwide's systems and will generate a spike in calls to customer services, it's obvious that the work should be split into tranches, say 10% each working day.  So Nationwide would have planned to start making the payments at least ten working days before the promised date (and probably earlier to allow for unforeseen problems).  I would suggest that we've just witnessed such a strategy being implemented and we could expect a repeat for the following months, though perhaps a little later once any processing problems have been overcome and in larger tranches.
