Also, quite often the gift card/payment processor for gift cards bought online can be from a third party (eg Voucherexpress, cashstar) and so the debit won't show as that of the supermarket, and you won't get the 5% back2 -
I topped up my ASDA Christmas Saver at a self service till with my shopping and got the cashback ok. I take your point though.keiran said:HonestJohn said:

Didn’t even realise until recently that the offer does not include M&S Foodhall, confirmed by a Nationwide staff member.
Guessing it’s probably because most of M&S is a department store?0 -

My £10 must have come from my shopping at M&S Food store, it is the only place I could have spent enough money. Since they were not on the list, I was pleasantly surprised to get it.pridehappy said:Didn’t even realise until recently that the offer does not include M&S Foodhall, confirmed by a Nationwide staff member.

I got my £10 cashback on March 28th (I have been away so not able to check until now)
A large proportion of this was gift cards in Tesco & Aldi.
Didn't spend £200 last month as abroad but again bought some gift cards (in store)
Planning to spend more next week and perhaps buying gift cards then , well before the end of the month in case their pot of 'cash back' closes early!!
After the end of the month will start to use the gift cards for normal spending.....and the Nationwide debit card will go back into storage!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
