Sorry I've been AWOL again this week, Belovéd and I were struck down with a viscous cold and I was looking after him for a couple of days and then went down with it myself. We're now over the worst of it.I managed to clean the shower downstairs, a job I loathe doing, while using it when I was cold and needed warming up which seemed an intelligent thing to do at the time. I'm sorry to say I binned No Spend February when I went to Morribunds because instead of buying good wholesome ingredients to cook from scratch I bought enough ding cuisine to last us a full five days because I knew that was all we could manage. We ate surprisingly well, considering. I don't regret it but my bank balance has been dented, sadly.I will catch up with Fred later today.Back to NS February now.Better is good enough.8

Both washing lines full, mainly bedding including two double duvet covers. And the sheets, at least, are dry,
DW emptied
Book finished...The Long Call by Ann Cleeves. This will now go onto the free library shelves at work, Easy flingage. Trouble is I keep bringing books back...going to have a go at Testament of Youth I think, next.

Hi
Busy week at work, long hours in the WAC, but this afternoon I have finally flown. Nothing earth shattering, but at least I have cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed upstairs and cleared the ironing pile. I have become slightly obsessed with watching Stacey Solomon, Sort your Life Out in 7 days whenever DH is out, so I attacked the wm drawer with bicarb and vinegar as well!Out this evening at NDN, thankfully an early start, so hopefully not a late finish.8 -
Hi all
Well done Fayolle. We have been to the beach for some fresh air, weather was gorgeous and we took a flask and some posh biscuits we got for Christmas.
This was lovely but I am out tomorrow afternoon and I do need to fly. Food first, then I will make sure the kitchen is tidy if nothing else.9 -
I am led to believe that it is your birthday today, Natty. Hope you have had a lovely day x
Well done all Flyers, and I'm glad to hear that you and your Beloved are recovering, Honey_Bear xx Don't feel badly about the ding cuisine - sometimes it is the best solution to an otherwise impossible situation (though I must say that I was very glad when we had eaten the last of the commercially produced meals and only the home-made, cook-from-scratch, much tastier portions were left in the freezer about a week after I came out of horse piddle!). BTW, did you ever find the box of maps, or haven't you been back up the loft since you wrote about them?
I started the day with very good intentions and crossed several items off my to-do list, but a quick trip to MrAl to buy just enough food for the week was enough to wear me out before lunch; and even though I had an afternoon nap, a 40-minute walk with Rosie set me back again, and I haven't done much this evening except cook stir-fry and SOFA.
One good thing, though: while drinking my early morning cuppa and thumbing through Youtube, I came across some very well presented videos on how to organise and digitise family history artefacts in a manner which makes perfect sense to me. That means I can stop moithering about what to do and just get on with the job - once I can find some energy *and* the time to do it, of course! Step 1 is sorting items into generations: me, my children and DGC, my parents, and their two separate family lines of earlier generations. Once that's complete (and it shouldn't take long, provided I don't get sidetracked) I can move onto more detailed sorting and photographing or scanning - but even Step 1 would be a lot better than the muddle that I've got at present. If anyone happens to want the link, you're welcome to PM me.
Sweet dreams to all xxx

I hope you had a wonderful day Natty xxx
Twinkle had a meltdown over having her seatbelt fastened so was straight in time out from dance class.. she was really good at swimming.. she listened and was focused, I think we need a huge meltdown every Saturday if that is the result!
I have packaged a dress.
My new DW is coming on Monday
I have finally got a copy of my January utility bill.. £1007.28 (minus the gov £67)... £710.28 to pay before the 28th.. I do have it today due to receiving a back-payment of carers allowance, it is anything but savings! I have many more things which are far more important so I will put this on a budget plan for a few months and get it cleared I am expecting it all to be reclaimed by HMRC so am not spending it until I know for sure.
I have looked at the remaining payments for February and most things are paid though there are a few I need to shuffle over on Tuesday.
Finally managed to crawl in the shower. I have hurt my hip when I slipped. I may need a shower seat at this rate before I go through the glass!
OH is going to DD1's tomorrow to build a slide.. I said I would go with him but I really can't see the point, other than to see the grandbeasts.. but that will mean leaving mine at home and I don't want to do that.. I will see how I feel tomorrow.. I might have him go build the slide tomorrow and we will all go on Monday to admire it. That might be the best option and I will spend tomorrow doing things to try to make this hovel less hovelesque. It is my pit I need to shuffle.. but I make so much mess!!!

Morning all
Belated Happy Birthday for Natty hope you had a nice day x
Hopefully no-one needed to raid Pigpen's biscuit tin and you all had a peaceful night's sleep. I needed to get up at 7am otherwise my sleep patterns will get even more messed up and I wont be able to sleep tonight.
I am cycling with my ladies group later which I am a little nervous about because I havent done it for ages. The car needs washing and I need to get on with a general hoover, dust and tidy.
I am hoping that DH will finish DSs bedroom today so that we can finally set that straight and DH can move his tools and painting stuff off the landing. There is a also a load of washing to go out and a joint of ham to put in the slow cooker to keep DH going with sandwiches next week.
But first I am enjoying a bit of peace and quiet and a camomile tea. Have a good Sunday all x9
