Morning all
Busy day ahead at work. It is dry and not windy thankfully, which has made feeding the animals so much easier.I will walk the dogs at lunchtime and need to go to the tip again. I started sorting photos last night, binned absolutely loads of duplicates / blurry / why on earth did I take this?! types.
Eggs to deliver on the way to work as well, which will cover the small spends I have today of milk and ham. Take care all xx12 -
It’s icy out there(again).
DW x 1
A day at home today but I’m itching to go and get a dry wipe marker and try the teacher hack of overwriting a permanent marker with a dry wipe marker to remove the permanent marker on the aforementioned notice board.
Weird dream…included swimming in the sea near a very busy shipping lane and making a DJ tape…

Fabulous board, Valli.
It’s so frosty out there this morning. I de-iced DD’s car so that it was ready for a trip to the garage for its MOT, and it was fully iced up again 10 minutes later. Still, that hasn’t stopped me from hanging the freshly washed bedding out on the line. It may well freeze before it dries.
Bed remade, hair washed, need to tame it before we go out to finally start chewing on a humungous frog that is sorting out our wills. If we can get that frog eaten in the coming month, I really will feel that we have at last achieved something.
Helpful mechanic has collected the car, I need to get a wiggle on. Flying may very well resume later, but I don’t like to promise 😉.

Just lost a post! Ahhhh!
Morning all. Did most of yesterday's list, not the weeding, much too cold. I did get all the cobwebs from between the "beams" with the hoover. They're not beams, they are the joists from the floor above, that have been stained, having had the plastered ceiling taken down. Somebody, long before we bought the house, must have thought it would look good. It does not! One day we'll get round to replacing the plaster.
Sorry about your dish washer @pigpen. New one looks good though. And well done for standing your ground and keeping EC. I remember, many years ago, DD1 coming into the kitchen and saying "Mike's moving in", OK. I went into the hall and saw two bin liners. Thought oh, he really is. His mum had thrown him onto the street, with his stuff. I found him a bedroom, we had 13, and phoned social services to tell them. We were foster carers at the time, so just making them aware. I told him to phone gran, just to let her know he was safe. Later that night, his mum phoned. She went crazy at me on the phone. How dare I take him in! She'd thrown him out to teach him a lesson, not so he could find a bed somewhere else. It was January, he was 15 years old. He never went home! We are defiantly kindred spirits pigpen.
Good work there, @Valli. Looking great. Isopropyl alcohol will also remove marker pen.
Of to make pastry, for chicken and leek pie. And see what to put on today's list.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.11 -
I have a grandbeast this morning while DD1 goes to be stabbed and prodded at the horsepiddle. We have vacuumed the front room.. it is still a huge mess but the floor isn't bitty or hairy.I need to organise 3 parcels being collected..Take more pics.. I have cleared the table so there is space.I want to knit both front of the v-neck cardy today and get the sleeves done tomorrow.. the button bands are supposed to be knitted separately but that is such a faff so I have added them to the fronts and will sort it at the back.
I have pots to wash... AGAIN.. hopefully for the last time for a few years!!
I will have OH fling the dead DW out in the morning so I can get the new one straight in.. hopefully they will come early so he can do it
Nutkin has been fed dreamies..
I have a flare up of something in my wrist so that is nice and sore.. Solicitor decluttered. I poked my head in the small independent shop across the road that does amazing shoes for people with size challenged feet. I’m not a shoe person (thanks to the size challenging hoofs), but this shop could make me be. Nothing in my size and width, come back in a fortnight as the spring shoes are coming in. Thank you very much, I will 😊, and for today I keep my NSD in the bag, as long as DH pays for DD’s car service that is 😉.
Washing out in the sunshine. I have wiped over a filthy set of plugs and sockets, did the remotes whilst I was at it.
Having a quick cuppa and a sneaky slice of hm ginger cake. Nom nom. Then I will think about doing something more productive.9 -
Pots washed and pics done to sell shizzle..
I want ginger cake...

Kitchen done, mopped floor with mop and bucket…it’s so dry today (the atmosphere) that it will dry quickly. One of the mats (the washable one) has has its first-ever wash (blush) and has been strategically hung on the line along with a microfibre duster head from work. (ie in the sunshine)
bathroom next
ETA bathroom done. All upstairs windows cleaned, too
