Ooh I need to catch up ... trots in looking to see if there is any cake left and quickly admires Pigpen's nails.
How lovely to hear the family singing. Sometimes its too quiet here.
Paid stuff done, pilates done, made myself go for a walk in the sunshine at lunchtime, called at Li@L for essentials. DH is feeling poorly, otherwise all is good here.
Very little flying done, but I did change our bed and have just put more washing in.10 -
Evening all.
Paid stuff, dailies, washing, bed changed, dog walked, bin out, met with friends all done.
I have been offered a promotion. What to do?Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Evening all.
Jazee, write down a list of pros and cons to consider. Take your time, and don't let yourself be pushed into the promotion if you don't really want the extra responsibility or longer/less convenient hours.
Did the usual round of dailies this morning, plus a bit of admin and WMx1. Then we decided to go out for lunch to one of our favourite NT properties, 30 miles from here, where we could be sure of seeing a good display of snowdrops. It took us just over an hour to drive there via the M5, and we weren't disappointed: we enjoyed a lovely lunch sitting outdoors in brilliant sunshine, followed by a pleasant walk through the woods. There were swathes of beautiful snowdrops among the trees, and even though Rosie had to be kept on her lead, she found plenty of interesting fox and rabbit smells. We left just after 4.00, expecting to be home around 5.30, but there was a bad traffic jam on the M5 because of a lorry fire, so we progressed at less than 5mph for most of the motorway stratch. It was actually 7.30 when we arrived homeFortunately I had planned a very easy tea!
This evening's flying consisted of loading the DW and hanging the washing on the radiators.10 -
Creeping in feeling very sorry for myself. I've been up all night with a stomach bug or some such.
I know it's not flying but I wanted some company as I feel awful.

Off to freecycle to look for a beam, off also to find some builders who can knock out etc, without the whole chimney stack falling down, and get prices. Off to look at hearth tiles / slates, need to measure first.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

GWS vibes to round and asb. I hope you are both staying at home and being kind to yourself today xx
Pigpen, I meant to say that I love the nails - best excuse ever!
Today I have various jobs to do before I go to the cardio gym, then this afternoon I am meeting up with S who lives in the same village as my DS1, was in the same 4-bed side ward with me and had a similar op but under a different surgeon. We're going to drink coffee and compare notes. The rendezvous is the GC in her village, but today the powers that be have decided to close not just one but 2 roads between our house and her village for repairs, and this will mean about 15 minutes' worth of detours whichever route I take
But the sun is shining again and DH says breakfast is on the table - so I must fly!Catch up later xxx
