Plumber paid. Technically speaking my overdraft is paid off now. I'll check at payday to see how I've got on though. It's a tight budget till payday but do able depending on what crops up. The house insurance is due soon but I'll have to revert to monthly payments I think this year. Works been pants the weather is too cold for my liking but I think that's the general Jan blues isn't it 😂Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
Mortgage Jan 18- 77224 Jan 26- just under 64k

Well done on the overdraft!
We're pretty much halfway through January now, hopefully warmer times aren't too far away!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks jwil. Yeah hopefully warmer weather soon. I am currently sat in my car after coming out for a break. Feel like all the responsibilities are on me and the kids are all in varying stages of puberty which leads to them being quite unkind at times so I'm finding it tough. I think warmer weather and Spring will make that easier too when it arrives 😂 and am also hoping it jolts DH into stepping up a bit more!

New glasses have been collected. Much better than the last ones. I'll try the work pair on Monday to see how they are. I'm still getting headaches with them though but maybe that's a getting used to varifocals thing
Finance wise I've now got agreements with both of my defaulted debts and will start paying in Feb. I've been keeping a spending log of everything other than bills in Jan. It's an eye-opener I will say that. As expected I'm spending a fortune on food but it highlights all the little extras that are never accounted for as well. And I've bought clothes and school uniform stuff so it's not been the cheap month Jan is supposed to be😂Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Well done on the debts, and hope the replacement glasses are better.
My spending log just shows me how expensive the kids are

Yes the spending log here seems to be kids clothes/costs and constant food 😂jwil said:Well done on the debts, and hope the replacement glasses are better.
