I got rid of mine after a week. Asda Opticians replaced the 2 pairs with 2 pairs of reading glasses.

Sorry about the glasses.  I didn't get on with my varifocals either.
Thanks. One pair I can see the advantages but honestly I've doubts about the actual prescription. What did you go in the end jwil? Two sets of glasses or just lift off to see?
It does sound like yours are wrong.  My glasses are for distance, and I don't need them for reading, so I prefer to just lift them when I want to read something.

  • I've an apt to see the optician again on Saturday. I was asked for email feedback and I had a bit of a rant. They've just rung me to offer an apt. I'll see what they say

So just under two hrs at the opticians. I've got my old glasses on for now and have replacement ones on order. Had a retest and a more experienced optician to fit my glasses. I'm more hopeful this time. And interestingly they have recommended a completely different frame/set up for my second pair to have as my work glasses. These will focus on my middle distance more. The advise is not to drive in them but if I can see what's on the screen when I'm working that will help. And eye drops at least three times a day in each eye.

Blazer done, School shoes X1 done pe trainers x 1. Done. Other child could benefit from a new pair as one foot has grown a half size bigger but they had none in her size and the other shops we tried were either too small or miles too big. So we will plod on for now with what she has.
Plumber due this week for final bit of work and putting radiator back. Hoping it's less than what I've put aside (never is though is it).  I'm hoping the house needs a lot less spending on it this year but who knows.
Agreement made with debt collector one. First payment is due at beginning of Feb.
Debt collector two letter is in a safe place (can't remember where I've put it) so I'll have to wait till they write again
It's better really that I've started repayments. Id gone over two years doing nothing which although was quite nice is just going to prolong it and annoy me eventually in my debt free quest.
It's windy and rain here today but we had an hour of snow last week so we got to see it pretty but without too much disruption.
