Are these cases that I should actually quote in my statement? Or just good templates to base my defense on?0 -
In October you told us...
Must be getting close to your Witness Statement and evidence filing deadline now?BowieBoy333 said:

You submitted your defence and now have a hearing date, you even told us the date by which the witness statement has to be submitted! Use the examples suggested by @Coupon-mad to base your witness statement on, which backs up and supports your defence as already submitted and you can also use the Chan transcript to get your case thrown out, by which I mean, you win.BowieBoy333 said:

Witness Statement stage is not defence.

One other question if I may....Coupon-mad said:Witness Statement stage is not defence.

Is the witness statement to be printed and posted?
Or is via email enough?0 -
Email is usually fine if you don't exceed 50 pages for the court to print. Obviously it isn't emailed to the CCBC at Northampton though.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I had a letter just this morning from Chesterfield county court.Coupon-mad said:Email is usually fine if you don't exceed 50 pages for the court to print. Obviously it isn't emailed to the CCBC at Northampton though.
It reads.....
"Before a proper officer sitting at county court if Chesterfield (etc)
Upon the claimant not complying with the order of 6 October 2023 in that they have not paid the hearing fee;
It is ordered that .
1. The hearing of 16 January 2024 is now vacated.
2. This order has been made on the courts own initiative. Any party affected by this order may apply under CPR rule 3.3 to have it set aside, varied, or stayed. Application must be made by 2pm 5 January 2024."
What does this all mean? Is it cancelled? Or just delayed?0 -
They haven’t paid the hearing fee in time. Unless by the 5th Jan they sort it out with the court you win. (They may claim they have paid but there is a court error). Well done1
