Just a parking charge notice. UKPC don't issue penalties.
You realise how this will play out?
- court claim in March for c£300
- you defend using our template
- DCBLegal pretend to want to proceed
- you follow our advice & meet deadlines
- DCBLegal will ring or write offering a cheaper settlement
- you ignore that or say "no"
- DCBLegal will discontinue. Scam over!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have a defense drafted out already to be honest (based on the template). My intention was to request the extension to DCBLegal at the last minute, more to be a pain and delay the process.
Is it worth doing this?
Or should I just let the 30 days expire, and wait for DCBs next move?

As stated by @Coupon-mad it is a Parking Charge Notice and there is a difference but since you have been given chapter and verse, you don't need to worry abut the difference.2

Timing depends on what best suits you.
A claim arriving in March so you can crack on with it sooner? Or a delay and a claim arriving in April or May?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As in the wording of the NtK? That's only half, there's another page full of spiel.Coupon-mad said:Timing depends on what best suits you.

If it makes no difference, I'll more than likely just wait for their next move. Can't be bothered with it lingering for longer than is absolutely necessary
Thanks guys0 -
But you ARE expected to respond to a LBC. We are not saying don't respond at all.
Whether you want it put 'on hold' or not you should be setting out the areas of dispute. The court expects parties to narrow the issues and try to resolve the dispute. Play the game...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So I will more than likely contact DCBLegal with the following, removing the request for a 30 day extension.Ref. <redacted>I wrtite this mail in refernce to a letter received 20.01.2023.The letter is dated 16 January 2023Your ref. <redacted>Titled "Letter of Claim"This letter pertains to an alleged PCN (Parking CHARGE Notice)PCN ref. <redacted>, issued on 20.07.2019The reason quoted as "Parked for longer than the maximum period permitted"Due to the lack of information contained with your letter, i am unable to verify this. Therefore i cannot accept any alleged debt, and so will be seeking debt / legal adivce. For this reason i ask that the case be put on hold for not less than 30 days, under the Pre-Action Protocol for debt claims 2017In parallel to this I have submitted an SAR request to your client, UK Parking Control Limited. Please confirm that this email has been received, read and understood. And that my free request as stated above is upheld.Yours FaithfullyNo, the difference between PENALTY Charge Notice and PARKING Charge Notice.
I have changed Penalty Charge Notice to Parking Charge Notice
Is what I am saying sensible / coherent enough?

If you say you are seeking debt advice they HAVE TO give you 30 days hold. If you don't want to delay it,then don't use that phrase at all.
Why not ask for their client's evidence to enable you to identify the event, location and driver from images, and a photo of the contract (the sign) in situ on the material date.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I hadn't even considering asking these sort of questions.
I (wrongly) assumed that all tat would come later.
Just trawling through some of the letters, and I received 'demands' from 6 different companies, I'm guessing some are all part of one group, but still, very aggressive tactics.- Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. x4
