So back to the topic,
Having received a barebones SAR response from UKPC, I am thinking my next steps would be:- Respond to UKPC stating my request has not been met in full.
- Make a new separate SAR to DCB (unsure if this is necessary?)
Also potentially a SAR request to all 3rd parties involved in this case (I cant remember them all now, but for I think it was Debt Recovery Plus and Zenith -will check when I can trawl through old e-mails - Wait until 2-3 days before the DCB 30 day deadline, and e-mail them asking for a 30 day extension / hold period to allow me to compile a defense.
I would then presumably either see 1 of 3 outcomes
a) I hear nothing ever again, and the case is dropped / DCB confirm the case is dropped
b) DCB do not respond / acknowledge and I receive a court claim
c) DCB respond with 'something else'

You can give UKPC as much grief as possible but be specific in what they have not yet provided.
I see little point in sending SARs to DCBL or any other debt collector. What personal data do you think they may have that may help your defence?
Waiting until the 30 days is nearly up before requesting a 30 day hold whilst you seek debt advice is correct.
It is unlikely that this will be dropped yet. That earns them nothing. You will almost certainly receive a court claim which you must defend. The scammers rely on the fact that the majority of people would pay up rather than face a court hearing. However those willing to defend often see them discontinue before court. With the support of the forum most of the defendants that end up in court win.3 -

I have set a reminder in my calendar to mail DCB requesting the extension...this will be sent by me on 12.02.23, to bein their inbox Monday morning, 13.02.23 - 2 days before the 30 days expires.
I will for sure e-mail UKPNC and ask for what I believe is missing.
In terms of SARS to the debt collectors, I am unsure on this, my logic (I think) was it would show as an act of intent.
Plus it would be intriguing to see what data they hold on me, passed on to them by UKPC
But if it adds no value to my case, I wont bother
This is a whole new world to me, more than happy to follow the experienced advice so kindly shared.0 -
It adds no value to your case, and UKPC don't hold these letters so they can't supply them anyway:"in my opinion they have not fulfilled my request. I have received documents from from other companies on behalf of UKPC, which were not included in the SAR response. As requested in the 2nd bullet point."
Let it go...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If it's of no real benefit, I wont bother.
I guess now I wait until the 30 days are neatly up, ask for the extension and take or from there.
I'm interested to know what people think my line of defence should be?
In reality the signs were not clear, and absolutely did not make it clear on the conditions of usage.
And the fact I never received the PCN from UKPC I imagine is my strongest defence?0
