Google Street View is a good source of evidence provided you raised the issue in your defence (the standard template raises poor signage as an issue).  The fact that the car park keeps changing hands is not a defence in itself.

Scrap that, just had the below from DCB  :#

    Dear me,

We act for the Claimant in the above matter.

Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.

The attached has also been filed with the Court.

We will now proceed to close our file accordingly.

    Kind Regards,

    Owen Cook

Thanks everyone that help / advised me. Very much appreciated
Do I need to do anything now?
Should I respond to / acknowledge the mail from DCB?

The N279 form he attached doesn't look to be filled out fully / properly?
All the yellow highlighted bits are as seen in the document, un edited by me.

  • Looks like a formality for a judge to sign the draft discontinuance DCBL have sent.

Well done on your win. And you managed to waste their time and resources as well whilst fighting this.

  • Thanks again everyone
Couldn't have done it without the support here

Is there anything I need to do?
I've had no other correspondence after the letter above...
And MCO update hasn't changed since the "Claim was transferred to <local court>" status

MCOL doesn't update once the case is transferred; as long as you have that N279 you are done and dusted. Well done.

thanks, that puts my mind at ease!
I was expecting something from the 'system' to confirm the N279.

Considering the number of Witness Statements signed by Yasmin Mia, she must spend a lot of time in loads of car parks around the country.  Can they strictly be called "Witness Statements"?
Hi, do you know of any statements signed yasmin Mia after December 2024?
