It's in the Template Defence thread already.

And the answers to the new questions j the N180 are covered in the NEWBIES thread already.  I edited it recently to cover DQs better, to stop people needing to ask us.

    Thanks folks
Will get it filled and sent out.
Once it is sent, i then wait for the dates, etc.
So probably wise t begin working on the witness statement now right

    EDIT:
Question...is there an expectation that I complete and post it by hand, as this is how i received it?
Or can i still complete digitally, and I just enter the info that was filled in on the physical copy I got via post?

This is already stated in the Template Defence thread.  All the first 12 steps are there.

  • Quick question if I may.
    N180 was sent via e-mail on 22.09.23 - I c.c'd myself, and received it.
And I received the auto reply from CCBC QA
However, Money Claims Online still has not been updated
I have also noticed that it reports "Case stay lifted on 06.09.23" - What is this?
It says the DQ was sent and file on 06.0.23 - I received it on the 14.09.23
Is the system really this slow?
Timeframe between me send my defence and it appearing on MCO was only 1 day, so I'm getting a bit twitchy.
And I am trying to fully understand the process as best as I can.

It will have been lifted after the fee was paid by DCB Legal in order to lift it - happens frequently, nothing to concern you.
Is the system really this slow?
No, it's much slower!  The CNBC is reported to be about 2 months behind in their admin.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks. What would trigger the case to be 'stayed' - all my submissions etc. were on time (in fact early)
Could it be DCB were slack if they have forked out a fee to lift a stay?

Sheesh, 2 months. I just want this done with now. Getting tiresome

They may or may not have forked out a fee.  More likely just the CCBC stayed it in error, as they were so behind on paperwork that they missed something from DCBLegal.  I suspect if's the CCBC being slack then realising the case was proceeding after all.

    Changes nothing for you.

DCBLegal will discontinue at WS stage in 2024.

    I very much hope so.
And you think it will really drag on for that long, until next year!?

    Obviously.

You know that from reading any claim thread in Umkomaas' discontinuance thread.  You can see the timelines for yourself by clicking on a few already discontinued.

Understand that DCBL have played their card.  which will be a rubbish claim
From now on, they will use their copy and paste machine to tell you their client will proceed, then a letter offering a deal, ALL OF WHICH YOU IGNORE

This all takes time in the sad world of DCBL
If it takes until 2024 so what, there is simply nothing DCBL can do apart from sending you stupid letters

Enjoy the DCBL game it's so pathetic. Just wait for a discontinuation for a crap claim
