Your Defence filing deadline was 4pm today.
Just file your Defence this evening - before 8am tomorrow - by email, just as you did for the earlier one.1 -
The first email got an "address not found" reply but then resent and got the standard acknowledgment. What does it mean that Iv missed the 4pm. Is there still a chance of being ok?

Technically it means that since 4pm today the Claimant has been free to seek a Default Judgment against you.
However, any Default Judgment request will not be processed before the morning, and as your Defence has been received, the filing of your Defence will be processed first and by the time that any Default Judgment request is processed, it will fail.
In practice, it is highly unlikely that the Claimant will even think about a Default Judgment before tomorrow, by which time it is too late.
You have nothing to worry about, but do try to keep your eye on the ball.2 -
Quick update here, just received a notice of transfer of proceedings for claim 1.Should I expect a call from them or will this go to hearing do we think?0

Hey Coupon-Mad, no worries Iv now changed the title.Iv still not heard anything - is it normal to take this long at transfer of proceeding stage? Am I likely to have to complete the witness statement and go to a trial?0
-
This stage is taking at least 2 months at the moment. The CCBC are in a mess.
You might have to do a WS to make them discontinue but that will be in 2024.

The case has been struck out before hearing 😀😀😀😀
The reasoning makes for some amusing reading -
"Particulars of claim are entirely inadaquate"
attached the letter for amusement (let me know if I should delete, blurred out identifying sections)
This is case 1, still to hear back on the second identical case.Do I need to do anything further?
cannot thank you all enough. Another win against these charlatans. It's time the courts starting clamping down on these w*nkers5 -
