ECP DCB Legal default CCJ - Claims form not received, seems to be CNBC error

That's easy.Birkum said:What is the general advise please to move forward from here
Be ready to receive and ignore all debt collectors letters - as described in the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread - and think about how you will defend any court claim - second post of the NEWBIES thread.2 -
A question, when the PCN is issued if we pay within certain days it is just half that we need to pay, does that still holds good as there was a POPLA appeal involved or I need to pay full. Just thinking that the hassle of court case may be too much and there will always be that court case record in my history.0

You'll need to pay in full. The earlier 'discount' is no longer available.Birkum said:A question, when the PCN is issued if we pay within certain days it is just half that we need to pay, does that still holds good as there was a POPLA appeal involved or I need to pay full.
What??Birkum said:Just thinking that the hassle of court case may be too much and there will always be that court case record in my history.
What do you mean by "there will always be that court case record in my history?
Do you somehow think you will be marked as a criminal -- for life??
If you were to lose a court case over this trivial parking event, then simply pay what the court advises within the timescale allowed - usually 14 days - and that is the end of the matter. No record at all will remain.
Anyway... that's enough talk about losing.

A court claim doesn't affect your credit rating. Not unless you ignore it, which we don't recommend!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Why on earth do you wish to be an easy victim3

B789, thank you. Thanks to Coupon-mad and KeithP as well. Given the job I do it is very hard to find so much time and fight this but I do not want these PPC's to think that they can have an easy ride and also must stand up against things that we genuinely believe are not correct.
Hence I will continue the fight and not give in. I will seek help as needed from you all as things move forward. Thanks again for all the support so far.3 -
You won't need much time for the first part - just put the POPLA decision out of your head, ignore but file the inevitable debt collector letters and wait. If/when you receive a letter before/of claim, do not ignore it but come back to the NEWBIE sticky second post and refresh your memory on what you have to do and even that does not take much time!Birkum said:B789, thank you. That's a much better attitude. You can always just refer back to the Newbies/FAQ thread as that is the most useful reference available. The actual amount of time you spend on this matter shouldn't be excessive. A couple of hours maximum for AoC/Defence, if that. Another couple of hours max for WS. That is spread out over the course of up to a year.Birkum said:B789, thank you. Thanks to Coupon-mad and KeithP as well. Same as this one:

Ignore them. Nothing is likely to happen with ECP.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

so the recovery letter has started coming. The first letter says I need to pay £170. As suggested I will just keep quite and store the letters for future reference.0
