Horizon Parking Ticket

  • So I do not own the vehicle, but I am a driver of the vehicle, in a Hire-Purchase agreement of the vehicle.
  • Does the fact that I never received a windscreen PCN make a difference, as all of the tickets were sent via post.

hence the mix up and continuation of actually parking where I parked -> as opposed to not parking there at all after receiving 1 ticket?
  • Just saw on the next bit below regarding post. Don’t worry about the above thanks
  • If the driver has been confirmed with horizon - is the case still beatable ?

The initial named driver requested for the liability to be switched - horizon have then asked to confirm both parties to agree - via email - if that has been confirmed, is there still a way for the NTK to be cancelled from this point on?

There are countless tickets and wrongly have been issued, it is blatant that it is just a cash and money grab, no clear signage - although horizon say it’s in alignment with BPA …

Does anyone have any good advice on which route to take?
  • It has also been over a month since the last NTK were sent out ..

all of the tickets are overwhelming & I’m not entirely sure how to take this - the appeal was rejected - can someone please give a recommendation since I have read through the NEWBIES section - I understand what’s being said but just am unsure as to which route to take since I have already done what’s advised against when appealing ( naming driver etc ) …
  • Please read the NEWBIES thread.  Covers all stages.

Only then ask about the old ones you sadly messed up...but don't ask about £170 debt demands.
Basically just deny being the driver and assertively reject any responsibility with what’s in the template & send that to POPLA?

    just confirming …

Yes the new PCNs are easy.

The old ones are of course winnable in court.

Just really silly to have transferred liability and not just Googled it, come here first and killed every single one with one email template appeal (per PCN) from the keeper.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So regarding the old ones and court, what would you suggest moving forwards, what is the best way to take it, appeal through POPLA? And is there a template to send for POPLA or what would you suggest to say in that appeal?

And then getting prepared for court, what would you suggest also, to get a solicitor / lawyer?

You can't appeal unless you (the named driver) has already appealed and got a POPLA code.

What you are asking is already in the NEWBIES thread, that I wrote to stop basic questions like this on thread after thread...!

I have a code for POPLA re the old ones...

the new ones, are again - issued under the RK of the vehicle (which i am not) - what im asking is should i appeal using the template ( for new ones even though addressed - not.in.my.name ) in the template as the RK / hirer or get the RK to do it since the template has at the bottom to put address & name etc down there?

and i havent come across anything as of yet RE court ( for the old ones ) and how to prepare for it / what to do next, do you have a link? if not i will continue to search for it.
