Can I switch to lloyd silver if I have a lloyds basic for the £200

It is the sentence in bold which worries me. You were repeatedly told the switch had to be initiated from Lloyds, to switch to them from Halifax and yet you write "from my Halifax performed the switch". I think it is just the way you write and not how you went about it - in fact I doubt you can actually do the switch other than by initiating it from Lloyds.Greg89 said:I did have Lloyds basic. And no Lloyds incentive since June 2020.
I upgraded Lloyds basic to club silver.
Then from my Halifax performed the switch.
I thought all I needed was a different current account and switch to a qualifying account.
It definitely says in the terms an existing Lloyds customer qualifies for this as long as the current account is held elsewhere.
I used an online form instead of going into the bank to switch.
EDIT: I'm 0.20 overdraft
Using another bank I transferred the money elsewhere0 -
Sorry, I do believe the switch was performed from the Lloyds current account service. It's the only way it can be performed
I don't know being -£0.20 hurts my chances. I'll put money back in.0 -
Why are you overdrawn? unless Lloyds agreed an overdraft......
if you followed the steps exactly as everyone described:
1. Upgraded to Lloyds silver
2 then requested a switch from Halifax
3 switch happened and moved in whatever was in H. account
then there should not be a problem
If the incentive has not appeared in your account then you need to contact Lloyds- preferably their switching team (if they have one)
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I've done all the above, if 11.30pm from last Tuesday counts, it's been 9 days.Katiehound said:Why are you overdrawn? unless Lloyds agreed an overdraft......

This from their website:
"The offer will be paid directly into your account within 10 working days of you starting your switch and will appear as a cash credit"
When did your switch start?
I can't see a dedicated switch numberBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

If you don't mind me asking, what time of period of the day your incentive was paid please?money4sb said:For anyone wondering how quick this deal can work..... I started the 'Switch' from a Halifax account on Monday afternoon and by today (Friday) the Lloyds account was all set up, the new card has arrived in the post, and.... the £200 was paid into the account too! Marvelous! I've just transferred the money out and have now 'downgraded' the account from a 'Silver' one to a Free one. Thereby avoiding any £10/month fees. All very simple.
