The Template Defence thread already tells you exactly how to submit the defence (NOT using MCOL).Chilli_Nugget said:
Great, Many thanks to everyone who has helped me so far I really appreciate it.KeithP said:
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
Im sorry but I dont understand what does treat MCOL as read only mean?
Also can i file my defence online and does this mean I do it directly to County court business centre not MCOL?
Thanks in advancePRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, just 2 questions please.
1. the court has sent me the N180 form but it is prefilled with UKPC info so I assume this is their copy that they have send to me??
I have downloaded a copy from the Gov.com website which allows me to fill in etc but it differs from the Newbie thread instructions it is longer
D1 is "Suitability for determination without a hearing" Do you consider that this claim is suitable for determination without a hearing, i.e. by a judge reading and considering the case papers, witness statements and other documents filed by the parties, making a decision, and giving a note of reasons for that decision? If No, please state why not. WHAT SHOULD I TICK FOR THIS PLEASE ??
2. Also how do I find my "Home Court" do I simply put "Defendants Court"
I appreciate these must seem like dumb questions but I have never done something like this before and dont want to make any mistakes on the paperwork thanks in advance0 -
@Grizebeck has a thread about the new N180. Click on his username then look for his discussions. You will find the thread there.
ETA Found it for you

What is the claim status showing on MCOL?

It just says the following:
Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 16/01/2023 at 16:10:16
Your acknowledgment of service was received on 17/01/2023 at 08:05:44
Your defence was received on 30/01/2023

I think you’ll find the DQ you’ve received is from DCBLEGAL and not from CCBC.3

Your questions are answered in the NEWBIE sticky plus the 12 steps in the template defence thread as well as the @Grizebeck thread as pointed out by @Boat_to_Bolivia. If you had been following the 12 steps you would know to expect the DQ from the claimant. You need to select a court close to where you live. Auntie Google will be able to help.Chilli_Nugget said:Hi, just 2 questions please.

So to update you all, Ive sent a completed N180 back to CCBC & DCBL via email on 20th march and today ive received another N180 in the post and it requests me to complete it by the 21st April???
Ive checked the MCOL website and it states this:A claim was issued against you on 09/01/2023
Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 16/01/2023 at 16:10:16
Your acknowledgment of service was received on 17/01/2023 at 08:05:44
Your defence was received on 30/01/2023
Case Stay Lifted on 04/04/2023

Please can someone let me know if i can send the N180 via email or why have thet sent me another N180 to complete? does this mean my 1st one has been rejected im not sure whether to repeat my last step or am i doing something wrong.
