Just re-forward the email, making sure the DQ is still attached and that the claim number is stated correctly in the subject line - and that you get an acknowledgement.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

CCBC taking about 4 weeks to process emails, my Daughters took 32 days from emailing to showing on MCOL.1

Chilli_Nugget🙂
You're well past the initial stages now, with the usual excellent free advice here. Just don't call it 'a fine'.
It's an unsolicited invoice, seeking to scam you and can be dealt with accordingly - as you are. Only TFL and police can issue fines for parking.

Update.
Soooo today I have received a "Notice of Transfer of Proceedings" Letter whichs states that the case has been transfered to the court that I requested! which feels like a bit of a minor victory if im honest lol.
I had felt up to this point maybe I should have just caved and paid them off but todays letter has made me feel rather chuffed that I didnt for some strange reason!
Even if I dont win Im glad I didnt just roll over this time and made them work a little harder for their ill gotten gains and anybody else who reads this who is in this position just fight the good fight, its worth it !!!2 -
But you already know what is going to happen thanks to your robust defence. They are going to discontinue before it gets to court. It is UKPC/DCB Legal.
The claim was always going to be allocated to your local court. That is the procedure for a small claim. It is allocated to a court local to the defendant unless they indicated otherwise on their N180.
Just check if a hearing date has been advised and if so, what date your WS must be submitted by.2 -
Update.
So things have complicated a little since last post.
1st the court have changed the location to a court in clerkenwell & Shoreditch when they last said it would be at my local court in finchley?! slightly annoying.
Now UKPC have sent me a without prejudice offer to settle the claim which I intend to decline as its for £245 instead of £317 which is still obscene, but they are like a dog with a bone and dont seem to want to let things go! so im worried they will see it through to court.
the letter says they UKPC need to either pay £27.00 trial fee or file a properly completed application?? what does this mean are they likely to pay this £27 or will they let it pass as it says if they do that by the 18th of this month then the court will throw out the case0 -
UKPC have, or DCB Legal have?Chilli_Nugget said:Now UKPC have sent me a without prejudice offer...
Back on 20th January @Umkomaas wrote this on your thread but you gave no indication of having read it...Umkomaas said:If the solicitors representing UKPC are DCB Legal, please have a read of this. It's not a green light for complacency, but if you put the effort in, your outcome could be the same as the others in the thread.2 -
the letter says UKPC to pay £27 ... it says if they do that by the 18th of this month then the court will throw out the case.Much more importantly, that letter ALSO gives your deadline for filing & serving your WS & evidence bundle which will make UKPC discontinue...
So what is YOUR deadline? Don't drop the ball. Doing this will push DCBLegal off the cliff!
Exemplar WS bundle is the final one posted by @aphex007 on their thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you Keith P & Coupon-mad.
The correspondence is from DCB Legal
Apologies I was incorrect with my dates!
So my evidence bundle must be sent to both by 28th July. and if the court has not received from them DCB Legal £27 or a properly completed application by 18th August then the court will strike out their case against me.
It states that I must supply them with a witness statement listing my evidence etc but I don't have any evidence? so I don't know how to respond other than to send them my witness statement again?!?0
