Ironically, Sanders Supermarket was eventually closed when the owner sold his main business (a garden centre) to Tesco. They weren't able to get planning permission for a supermarket so it was ultimately sold on and is still a garden centre (now a Blue Diamond).1 -
I see there's a seller on ebay.... selling one can of heinz beans for £555 and others at £55 a can...... obviously the £55 cans are a bargain1

Can of baked beans sell at 55 pounds on Ebay
Paper bag on Ebay for 80 pounds
Toilet roll on Ebay on sale for 69 pound and so on
I guess some fall for it and buy it,

fyi - M&S beans seemed a bargain at 85p and were much nicer than the Tesco ones that were just slightly cheaper. Think Tesco sells a nicer discount brand - Branson or something like that. I know them when I see them.
Trying to remember the last time I bought Heinz.....would only have been if they were on extra special.

I have nothing to add on the price of baked beans, but I did notice the price of them had shot up a few weeks ago when I was looking at buying chopped chipped tomatoes, which have also shot up around 50% (all brands I've seen). Fortunately I rarely buy them so 4 tins will last me a year.or more.
But when I do have them I like them mixed in with brown sauce (HP).
