However, Gladstones have now filed court papers so I guess I will have to approach them and see what they say!
What? No!  Too late for that.

    You must defend!

What's the date of issue of the Claim Form?

.. and please copy the POC here or screenshot it (covering your VRM only, but leaving dates visible).

DO NOT SHOW THE WHOLE CLAIM FORM OR THE PASSWORD.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With a Claim Issue Date of 16th October, you have until Monday 6th November to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 20th November 2023 to file your Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

I've just tried to log in to the MCOL and interestingly cannot with the claim number and password on this form, I have tried lots of times!

I was just following the procedure on the newbies thread then.....so helpful :)
  • Could I just ask, I have read somewhere on here that if the parking firm wants to proceed with legal action, they must bring together all outstanding tickets? Is that right as there are two other tickets they contact me about?

Have you now managed to file an Acknowledgment of Service?
You have until this coming Monday to do that.
Failure to file an Acknowledgment of Service before next Tuesday will mean that your Defence comes due at that time and failing to file a Defence in time will allow the Claimant to seek a Default Judgment against you.

Yes and no. Best not to mention them.

If you have not been able to log in please try again and/or ring the CNBC in the morning (expect a long wait).

I still haven't managed to log on to MCOL and their on hold times are sooo long! Trying for the second time now, 15 minutes and waiting...
It just says either the claim number or password is incorrect no matter how many times i've tried. There doesnt have a section on how to file an AOS if you cannot log on to MCOL and Google doesnt help with this information either!

Can you not file an Acknowledgment of Service by emailing the form back to the CNBC?

As I said, if you don't file an Acknowledgment of Service in time, then your Defence becomes due at 4pm on Monday 6th November.

Your choice, but you have to do something - either file an Acknowledgment of Service or file a Defence - within the next few days.

Yes I can do this, finally waited 40 mins and MCOL helpline said they couldn't reset password to use the online system so now have the paper copy to complete which I will fill out and send today.

    1. Who is CNBC?
    2. The pack doesn't include an email to send back to, do I not take a copy and send registered post? If not, do you know the email address? The newbies section doesn't include it that I have seen and neither does the court paperwork.

    Thank you
