I actually disagree with your comments about Nectar points. I find them quite useful. I usually aim to make £150 a year which covers most of the Christmas food extras for very little effort. The nectar app also gives you some good offers. Likewise my Boots Advantage card. I aim for £150 a year. I can buy several presents for that amount. It’s like free money.
Your groceries spend is ridiculously high. Myself and an older relative I live with probably spend about £300 a month and that includes household products as well as food. We shop mainly at Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer’s. We tend to buy the household products at Home bargains.
M&S Sparks can be useful too. In December I was sent £50 of worth of food vouchers. Reward for buying clothing and food. A useful bonus.
My point about the Nectar points was that averaged over a year my points value is about £2.20 a week, at Lid! I'm saving about £30 so it's simple maths.

My OH likes middle aisle too but we've turned it into a joke now - I do the serious shopping and he deliberately comes back with the most ludicrous suggestion of what we absolutely didn't plan to buy including an arc welder and trampoline.  We have a laugh and then walk away from the arc welder etc.  like shopping with a toddler but it works ok.  This week though he is after some thermal leggings but I'm ok with that given current artic conditions.

That's worth a try, a deliberate pat on the head off you go indulgent and when he returns, treat him like an adult, nice one thanks

    Morning Debt Busting peeps

Another £1 to Tilly Tidy making £17.43

Diner today is Thai mince, rice with mangetout plus the usual side salad with homemade slaw, costing £2.99

DH has another day off today so we are going to the beach, need a NSD so will take a flask if need be, he's such a contrary g!t hes glad for the day off but sulks that they dont want him !!!

Surveys!!! Well previously I tried these years ago and tbh they were a wash out, yesterday I joined sw*gbucks and persevered and got to 379sb I'm sure it won't be like that every day but I was giving up too quick, not sure what it will be over a month but would be amazing to get to £20, it's one of the debts

Yesterday on the business front I cut 11 bears out

    Have a fab day everyone

    Sue xx

Ps grocery spends so far this month £322 not amazing but least it looks like I'll achieve £400 bit bummed as I needed extras from the Co Op yesterday that I thought would last but won't, wasting about £3 🤦‍♀️

    Morning Debt Busters

Bit of a false start today, up at 3.30am after MrPs day off yesterday. I would to say it was a great day but MrP was a tad testy and snipy all day, result is a migraine today!

On the good news another NSD at 9 now

Diner today is Sticky Beef Satay wraps with salad and slaw costing £2.60

Sw*gbucks on 700sb although I'm running out of surveys to do now

  • I couldn’t get on with sw*gbucks. Ipsos kept screening me out and they ask hundreds of questions before they decide! But I need to get back to it. My best is always prolif1c.
MrP needs a good shake 🙄 Why do these men always end up like big children? They all seem to do it at some point or another.

    Morning Debt Busters

    Money:
All quiet on the money front this week, DD is due to pay back borrowed money, good job really as sub £50 in the kitty.

I chased customer orders for payment yesterday too but no joy, it was more of "think of me when you get paid" nudge, will message a few today as follow up.

DH is meant to be working Saturday this week, double edge sword this, he gets so tired quickly again now, we are looking at him temping come March, means we can move nearer to family etc but means giving up his job again

Surveys: 1020sb which is great after 3 days, I have found first thing in the morning is best, bag a couple of higher paid ones and job done

Diner: homemade sweet and sour pork with salad and slaw £2.20

NSD: 10 YAY that was the target and the first time I've ever achieved it, helps DH thinks its funny 😁 also curbs him which is HUGE

Today's jobs include finishing tacking bears and the usual dog walk (now upto 2 miles a day)

    Have a good one

Quick 👋 and run today as I have the car, so lots to pack in including mum and dad visit, collect mail, laundry, quick shop, sort online show and edit website

On the money front, got a partial repayment from DD, rest should be today but still way short of £££ needed this week 🥹 hey-ho

Sw*gbucks WOW 3189sb as I got the bonus, a gaming one is pending too at 2400 so really impressed, still get piddled off with going 10 mins and it kicks you out

Would anyone be interested in a few YNAB posts? I see lots have used it but stopped, just a thought 🤔

And something to make you laugh, DD is flat hunting, would her Dad and I sub her a years rent so she can move into a swanky glass balconied place over looking the river, apparently they don't accept guarentors, the punch line is at £2,500 that's £30k !!!! 🤣🤣🤣 er think that might be a no, bless her she took it well which was a good thing
