    Morning Debt Busters

Today I have cash out £25 from sw@gbucks as suggested by @penguin37. Bit of a palaver really as my PayPal is business so I set up a personal one,  especially for this with linked doo-dahs

Spoke to G○rd○n & Sl@ter yesterday and finally understand why (after 16 months of continually chasing, being treated as if I'm a scammer) they suddenly are attentive, bees and honey pot spring to mind. Firstly the 9 months of physio on my shoulder takes me over the 24 months of post point of injury which quote "indicates a more severe injury than whiplash" no !!!!!! Sherlock!!! Plus the comp for that is now estimated at >5k and that's without the results of the back MRI.
I found it all very depressing as his wording confirmed I had been labelled both a scammer and a trouble maker! Surprise about me signing this new report immediately, comments about it no longer being whiplash, yet again incorrect assumptions about my self employment ability post accident and so much more that I was on the phone 1 hour and 1/2. Anyway because its now a "serious" case I am being fast tracked and will have 1 handler. Great but I shouldn't have had to go through that, I should not have had to wait for further treatment. He apologised, sadly I am beyond wanting one and just cried, nothing worse than being called a liar

    So update goes

    Sw@gbucks 1120sb post cash out
Tilly Tidy £20.60 very pleased with getting to £20
Diner Hoisin Pork with noodles, salad and slaw cost £2.10

  • HI I would suggest that if you have not used the carpet cleaner at this point send it back. When you do need one look on Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace and pick one up secondhand. Good luck with your journey. V x

Thanks @vampirotoothus, we've had it since November(black friday job) conscience would struggle to take it back now unless faulty and we bought it because we knew we would need it frequently, muddy feet, only laziness has stopped me getting it out. It works a treat, neat little thing too

  • Thankyou @SueP19 for the welcome.  It definitely sounds like you've been very unlucky (or lucky, depending on your viewpoint). It's awful that these things take so much time and that you are still suffering with so much discomfort.

@penguin37 thanks, I get that the powers that be don't want us to end up as a suing culture but new laws that came in may 21 (3 months before accident) mean most injuries are deemed whiplash and under a miniscule compensation scheme, so here's me needing 9 months physio alone and only allowed 8 sessions, despite physios recommendations, they ended 13 months ago, not even sure what to think about my back, walking helps but doesn't get rid off it, possible permanent nerve damage is a possibility here, I might need an op too 😕

  • We went through 3 years of insurance he’ll after DH was involved in an accident (he was a passenger so no fault on him). It’s left him permanently disabled but every single specialist and expert we visited for insurance reports acted and spoke as though he was making it all up for the money. I got so frustrated with it all.  He got a couple of interim payments in year 3 and then it was all finally settled when his work place could no longer hold his job open at the end of year 3.  During that time he’d had to claim disability and income related benefits which all get paid back out of your settlement (only fair) but it left us with virtually nothing knowing that this was a lifelong disability.  13 years on his issues have multiplied, he hasn’t been able to work again and is on 32 tablets a day.  I’d like to go back to some of these insurance “experts” and show them that it really wasn’t a case of him scamming them out of anything.

I hope you get some help and don’t continue to suffer.

    Morning Debt Busters

And we have the start of a shiny new month with the out going disaster of old
It wasn't all c0ck ups, sadly debt busting was diabolical, however an empire was not built in a day and a !!!!!! priority is getting spending under control
The successes of the month goes to diesel and food, both came in under with diesel getting the gold medal at nearly half what it has been (poss due to no fairs in jan)
The failures were vaping 🤦‍♀️ sadly I don't control that one but I promise you I do nag frequently, as MrP smoked upto 60 a day at one point (20 a day at heart attack point) he's on the right path. EF and debt busting has to sit in the failure corner too
Other successes are NSDs hit 12/10 so February I'm aiming for 12. Tilly Tidy ended the month on £20.60 and a really big step forward I only gave DD money on 3 occasions plus I insisted she paid borrowed money back as promised (my achilles heal this one, yep soft sh't me)

So February sees the restart of fairs, hopefully I might sell a pattern on R@velry too. I have started share buying again so looking forward to expanding that

Diner tonight is homemade Pork Teriyaki tray bake with salad and slaw costing £2.89

Will do another ynab post later on the 4, now 5 rules 😀

    Have a great day xx

OMG @Jellytotts that's terrible. I can't imagine how you must feel over it, aside from the frustration and hurt they think I'm a scammer, my "injuries" are minor in comparison, whilst I think my pain and numbness is permanent it's not excruciatingly painwise,  my fear is though that it will get worse
The insurance companies should hang their head in shame
I said to G&S yesterday I have felt I was fighting with their insurance company and them, when they should be in my corner. His reply was to explain that they have to present information that his insurance company won't object to!!!! My reply was error NO you present the truth

I so feel for you, DH is on 13 tablets post heart attack which was triggered by my accident

    Hugs ❤️

The trouble now is that so many people sue that insurance companies assume people are just doing it for money not because they have ongoing needs. A member of my family was sued when someone fell down their stairs when they came to estimate a piece of work. At the time they admitted they were wearing the wrong shoes to be going up and downstairs but this all got lost in the claim and when it finally came to court my family member who was in the last few weeks of their life from cancer and was having difficulty understanding what she was being asked made a mistake in what she said. It was very sad that she was dragged to court in her circumstances by someone , who although was injured, was inappropriately dressed for the job she she was doing.

Fortunately her home insurance had third party insurance so it didnt impact her financially but I think the stress shortened her life somewhat especially after court which thoroughly upset her.
