Maybe that is my secret trick - avoid trouble at all costs. Why do you hate men so much?I'm not sure it would be so acceptable for a poster to post such a view if it were about women.
If you look back through the posters history on here and indeed the original site there is some fairly misandristic posting. Just curious as to her (I presume) reasoning.

My Dad was a gambler and many times the FOF was used to feed us, in days where there were no refuges, no food banks…..But she had a secret secret Endowment policy to pay when we were midteens as then she was going…. Talk about planning for the long term. Both my children have been brought up to appreciate that money solves problems and I still have my Running Away fund after 50 years of marriage as it is ingrained in me.
So, follow @YoungBlueEyes advice and get the jar, box or whatever started.
Keep safe, everyone.@retiredinfrance I think you must be one of my sisters in law.My mother in law started a FOF fund for me the day I married. I knew I'd never need it and after 50 odd years I still have that never needed fund. Fortunately he takes after his mum and it's now in our joint account. There for whoever of our family may need it.9 -
The “secret trick” to thicken sauces, especially those Chinese sauces & soups is a cornflour slurry (a spoon of cornflour dissolved in water). It gives you that takeaway sauce/soup consistency. Also works well for gravy.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I find the cornflour slurry gives the sauce/gravy a slightly odd consistency or viscosity.

What ever you call a fund of money, that is known to you, its wise to have oneFurther up thread there was a post about being robbed just before Christmas? No recourse to fundsMy fund isnt because Im scared my husband is going to leave me high and dry, he cant, the house is joint and if he laid a finger on me, Id batter the life clean out of him ( thats very lightly written because after 32 years we know where we both stand )My FOF is because I personally have had nowt. Not a bean. Ive been in the place of not having somewhere to sleep, of going without meals for days on end, not having enough to pay for the electric, So my FOF is really a JIC fund. I am absolutely petrified of not having a penny stashed away to be used ICOEAll started with me nan telling me to always having a pound tucked into me knickers
Yeah she would have worn bloomers, and a quid wouldn't have fitted in a thong , but you get the idea
And this year Ive needed it, and so grateful Ive had it.Ive already started paying back into it - 20ps and 50ps. Its all that Ive been able to squirrel away but I see the jars slowly filling - and I mean slowlyI dont think I would sleep well without a personal fund that was not included in joint assets but thats totally down to MY life experience15 -

Organising:
- under your sink so you don’t cause an avalanche of products getting to the back: magazine holders. You just slide them out when you need something in them and it goes straight back in.
- “Junk” drawer - use old takeaway cartons as drawer dividers to organise your junk drawer into sections (we all have one lol)
- A multi coat hook rack to hang your ironing board, dustpan & brush, mop, apron etc in the kitchen. Put it behind a door so it’s hidden away.
- Add white miso paste to your tomato-based sauces for extra depth of flavour.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Curry time! Not really but add to boiled basmati - a tad of turmeric, top with cashew nuts when serving. Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!9
