Well, this is an interesting turn of events.

I submitted my last two redemptions in early April (one a little over 48 hours after the other). The first was received fine, but the second never made it to my account. I chased this missing payment and it took them about 3 weeks to get back to me, and with a very terse response. They refused to pay out and then accused me of having more than one YG account - incorrectly btw - and have suspended them "all".

However, having told me that, they then appear to have failed to follow through. My (singular) account still seems to be functioning fine, I am able to log in, and I was (and still am) being offered surveys (that I don't complete unless close to the redemption threshold). Still no sign of that last 50 though.

The cynical part of me reckons that the missed payment was probably a genuine technical issue and that, upon a manual review of my account, they didn't like that prior redemption activity. I probably (?) abused their "generosity" more than most.

Not a huge deal, since I already had some reservations about sharing this sort of information. This is even though the snapshot they got from me was of rather limited usefulness - everything was from near dormant accounts, or those with manufactured activity for rewards and such. I was willing to deal with it for £300+ a cycle, but less so with these newer limits.

I suppose I'll now see how easy it is to have my data removed from their platform…

  • Pleased to say I passed the 5000 point mark tonight and have (fingers crossed) redeemed the £50.00.

This was mainly down to surveys slowly knocking the amount down bit by bit.

Apparently I now have 9 rewards left to redeem, last time I looked it was 5 so it beats me! But with a few accounts due to be re-linked over the next 3 weeks or so hopefully I can push on for the next £50.00.
  • How on earth do I add a virgin money account to this? Not enough digits in the clicky-linky page.

Was talked about earlier in this thread. Can only be added using mobile phone, not desktop/laptop web browser.

Edit: sorry. That's virgin money credit card. Virgin money current and savings accounts still cannot be added.

    You can't at the moment.

After a couple of long, circular phone conversations with very evasive Santander CS people, it transpires that Santander are making security checks on that incoming £50 from yougov. Apparently it is a legal requirement that they make random checks on the source of incoming payments, and they are not allowed to tell their customers that they are making those checks blah blah blah. I can't help the feeling that my 'beautiful' relationship of over 12 years with Santander might be over before long.

EDIT 20 April 09:10 : as of this morning, the payment seems to now have cleared for good.
Silly me has had mine put into my Santander account, should have chosen another. Anyway I am experiencing this odd 'regulatory check' now.

It won't let me add credit card via mobile. Is yours an iPhone?

Has anyone figured out how to add YBS? It opens the app and logs you in then just does nothing.
  • I've relinked/reconsented 5 of my accounts
(3 current, 2 savings) as per request on the YouGov finance site.
They all had 12 days to go.

The message has now changed from 9 rewards left to redeem to 4 so that makes sense.

Question is, when do I get these points?

Should I have waited till the very last day to relink?

All my previously-linked accounts' access have now expired

Do I need to delete these accounts and re-add them, or simply click on "reconnect" in order to get the points ?
    Thanks
