Now, again several attempts to renew this afternoon without success and now in the evening I tried to delete and add again as that worked fine before and that failed now with the below message.
9 accounts are still connected with various expiry dates due to previous connection losses. I sent Yougov support an email explaining the situation as it is unfair as they said you can keep earning from 10 accounts once connected by renewing. However, if Plaid keeps having issues making renewing impossible and the only way working is to delete and share the same account again this should not exclude me now from having 10 accounts connected.
Imho, they should allow anyone who joined (was invited) before the announcement to add and remove accounts as they wish because it is not my fault that their partner Plaid can't provide a reliable service.
Let's see what they say.
Never had any such issues with True Layer on the previous Yougov Finance platform.
--> If you experience technical issues to renew your account, DO NOT DELETE and try to reconnect as this may remove your account permanently not allowing you to add again.
I've also had the same issue with Co-op. It randomly "disconnected" last month well before the 90 days and I've not been able to renew. Tried multiple times across numerous days. Seems like it just doesn't work with coop anymore. Which means I'm also down to 9. I haven't removed it yet out of fear of not being able to re-add.0 -
I wasn’t aware of that
A strange set up, I have 3 banks that are counted twice0 -
I think all that have issues with random connection drops and issues reconsenting should send a message to yougov so it raises awareness.
The provider Plaid seems to the key part of the problem together with banks IT to deal with open banking connections via Plaid. Everyone who had 10 accounts connected before they dropped it to 3 should be free to remove/add accounts keeping within the limit of 10.
Imagine you have a current account connected and want to use it to switch for a bonus. it would essentially wipe the opportunity to add another account and you need extra accounts outside the 10 connected to use for switch offers. Same if you change/close credit cards.
However, yougov might calculate with issues and loss of connections as result to reduce the number of accounts naturally until after most are near or at the new limit.0 -
From past experience patience is a virtue. I remember having issues with HSBC that eventually resolved (back in the days I could sub in another account temporarily). If any of mine fail, I'll keep trying, as removing them won't allow me to add a new one.

Is it only Chrisv and myself who are missing payments from Yougov, or are others in the same boat?
It's been 9 days for me now since I cashed out and still nothing received. I have emailed them twice and received an automated email to say somebody would look into it asap a couple of days after the first email, but they have simply ignored the second email. Is there any better email address for responses than the globalsupport@yougov.com?
It would be useful if they had some proper support like livechat, otherwise the next response could just be another "we'll look into it asap", which explains nothing and gets you nowhere.1 -
I've had the misfortune of having to contact their customer support in the past and it definately left a lot to be desired. My issue got sorted eventually, but it did take several weeks of no response before they actioned on my issues.I've cashed out my most recent round of points this morning, I'll update if I haven't had anything arrive in a few days I guess2
