Wall painted.. dinner in.. I need to do pack ups and DWI need a list..
- List V!nted stuff
- Package parcel x2
- Nag SD about ladders so OH can clear the gutters.
- Clear a space in the girls room for Pixies huge egg chair to go up there... actually.. if OH takes it apart and puts it in there I will have no choice but to shuffle it to fit..It is now upstairs.. not constructed or anywhere sensible.. but it is upstairs!
- take stuff out from under the bed in the middle room: dismantle bed in middle room .. put it in the car to go to the tip.
- move drawers and desk up 6-8 inches
- put double bed in from the hallway.
- Ponder the colour possibilities for the kitchen repaint.. it will need doing once I have managed to gt the shower fixed/kitchen ceiling fixed and replastered and painted.. I'm thinking I might just paint it pink.. because I can! .. or Aqua.. Or peachy or orange.. or lilac.. sooooo many pretties!! ~ That was so much easier than anticipated!
- remove 3 boxes from the front room which do not need to be in there and are irritating me greatly!!
- find tiny box for window lights so I can put those away. Got fed up, found a different box.. took down the lights.. then couldn't get down again. oops...
Getting there..
I have a parcel coming in the next hour.

Kitchen and bathroom both cleaned, marmalade away (unlabelled for now *twitch* *twitch*) and recycling bin emptied twice…they come tomorrow for that one. I had little tests between jobs. Mince pies shown off to DD…about the most professional-looking stuff I have ever made…thank goodness for ready rolled puff pastry.
Towels and cleaning cloths to go in WM tonight.

Yes, Piggers, paint it. Whoops, too late, you’ve already done it.
Kaz - I’m a satinwood person too. Too late again…
Valli, fab mince pies. Labelling is the best bit of marmalade / jam / chutney making. Perhaps I need a hobby…
Thank you for the card and chocolate, Narc0. The chocolate has already found a home…
Boringly busy day at work, no flying beyond dinner (in sc under DH’s surveillance), kitchen tidied and HHI. It’s knitting time now. DH is irritating me - just throwing that comment in for good measure.10 -
Hi all
Funny day at the paid stuff, bit anxious. Have been asked to attend a mysterious meeting tomorrow which my line manager didnt want to talk about over the phone. I will try not to think about it tonight.
Have ironed our duvet cover and pillowcases which end up a crumpled mess if I dont do it while they are damp. Downstairs floors hoovered and mopped, kitchen fairly tidy. Trying to fly every day.
Windy tomorrow, still cant get a decent day to cycle in to work.11 -
Evening allIt has been sleeting sideways stair rod fashion all day today. I lit the kitchen fire after the paid stuff, just in time for the children getting home. Dinner has been scoffed, dogs’ breakfast has been prepped (I am trying to feed them rice and veg a few days a week not just shop bought stuff), produce collected from lovely friend in exchange for eggs.Early night now with my book and a hot water bottle. Lots to do tomorrow at work and animal jobs to be done by head torch as I need to leave by 8.30am. Sleep well all xx
PS Round I hope your day has gone well xx10 -

A rest lol…I pad opened at my last post and the word ‘test’ caught my eye.
anyway have discovered the little puddle of water by the back door is not ‘condensation’ it’s fluffing rain. The kitchen is extended into what was once a coal shed (I think) - these houses were originally intended to burn solid fuel, since we had two plants decarbonising coal locally, I assume it was intended to support local industry. Ironically my first f/t job was connected with one, my second with the other, anyway as it’s raining right now I wiped, and watched, and looked. Wall might need repointing. I don’t think it’s the flat roof as I think it would be wetter. Bullocks. Lots of them, too.HHI done.Shoulder scan tomorrow.
Incidentally the words ‘fluffing’ and ‘bullocks’ are about as close as I can get to suggest the words I’m actually using.

Goodness to the cards - I posted them on Dec 1st if I recall rightly. Amazing that I handed over those (to Kent), 1 to France, 1 to Canada and 2 to Ireland directly to the post office at the same time. The French one got there by 4 Dec as the recipient rang me. Surely Kent is on the way to France??????
Had rather a night in the WAC for various silly reasons. One was that, when putting my uni bag together, I noticed my laptop charger was not where it should be. Major panic; looked in a couple of places but knew in my heart of hearts I must have left it at Mum's over Christmas as I haven't used it since the Christmas Eve Zoom to Australian friends. Ordered a new one from Ama** which should arrive tomorrow. Emailed Mum......who let me know this morning that she'd found it in the bedroom, fallen behind a heater. Grr.
- put wm on before I went out as the weather was sunny. Mr N hung it out and had to bring it in 2hrs later when it started raining.
- did a load of washing up
- did Body Pump at the gym
- did a very long and painful assessment at uni; lovely student but complex needs; great for my first one of the term.
- did some drum practice.
- emailed disability services staff re.the student.
- started writing up student's report as I aim to be much better on top of things this term and not procrastinate.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Thanks from me too, Narc0 - I have eaten all my other Christmas chocolate, so had to declutter the coin to match x
Jigsaw has progressed
A couple of phonecalls have been made
Rosie had her walk
Food was cooked and eaten
Kitchen worktops have been wiped over, umpteen times
Not much else10
