ASB.. I have a free version of Spotify.. no chatting rhubarb and just singing all day.. I couldn't have less interest in the attention seeking if I tried!
EC's 'donor' has come up with the old chestnut of 'I am sterile' ... erm, clearly not.. so we are looking at prenatal DNA testing.. it can't be done for another couple of weeks but it is the next step. I told her to block him until we get to that point because she doesn't need the aggravation at the moment. We have enough to sort out without them making life complicated.
I have procrastinated enough that I can put off sorting the girls room until tomorrow.. YAY!!My front room is a skip.. the kitchen is lovely though and smells nice too.
I have a Fabian for a bit.. They can't afford the childminder any more this month so I've got him.. I'm not complaining.. I said I would have him every day but DIL gets stuck here having coffee and sitting down and chatting after work and doesn't go home so she has a minder get him who lives right near school and collects him from there.
I need to do something in here there are no chairs to sit on.. I have 3 seater sofa and neither is visible!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)11 -
Hugs to all - crazycatlady that is truly pants, I hope you get sorted soon x
The nearest Metcheck weather station to us is recording 56mph winds, and boy have I just felt it! Waterproofs now drying above the fire, children inhaled hot chocolate when they got in (they play outside whatever the weather at their school in full waterproofs) so they are in fresh PJs under a blanket by the fire watching TV.
Fish fingers, mash and beans for tea. A neighbour (in the loosest sense of the word, she lives 5 miles away!) has very kindly made me a pheasant pie so I look forward to swapping 6 eggs in exchange for that for tomorrow night's tea.
Tomorrow will be interesting - I will be back in a school setting via work. Just for an hour though - a lesson to Year 8s on self esteem and the importance of fresh air. I will be glad to do it, and even gladder to walk away afterwards knowing I don't have to work in a school anymore!11 -
Goodness me you all make me look like the sloth I am!!1 You are always so busy!! Piggers one day you will meet yourself coming back!! Round I am so sorry to hear about your feathered friend xxx You carry on talking to him as much as you need to xxx Well I actually managed all levels of flying today, I think that is a miracle ( well it is for me anyway ) Want to bet I don't get much done tomorrow? Well the oranges are now marmalade, did them all in one fell swoop so it was a 4 panner…two lidded pans for the initial cooking which I did yesterday and both jam pans out for the boiling up.Kitchen will need to be cleaned tomorrow…Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

- gym swim. May just have well swum round the garden and up the road, it's so wet everywhere.
- filled bird feeders
- emptied 'tops and jumpers' section of old 'wardrobe', managing to say goodbye to 3 garments. Mr N has now dismantled everything and vacuumed, so it's crack filling and painting the wall next.
- prepared paperwork for this week's assessments
- started planning for the waterways chaplaincy dyslexia training so trying out all sorts of speech to text and vice versa apps on my phone.
- caught up on more flagged emails.
- kitchen pretty much ok.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Because I like to procrastinate.. oh yes I do!!! I have decided that tomorrow morning OH will take the huuuuge egg chair upstairs and erect it in the girls room.. so it will annoy me and I will have no choice but to shuffle stuff about.
He is also bringing the small Vinted box bownstairs so I can get that lot listed on the kitchen table.. it isn't too low, unlike the floor, the cats are less likely to sit on things and I can have a binbag for the stuff which is going to CS.
And I started baby cardigan number 2.. even though I have about 10 infinished ones.. I appear to be unable to finish anything.. other than mittens.. I have done so many!

Morning all
Popping in before I get ready for the paid stuff. I have paid the LPG tank standing charge this morning so not a NSD. Still not spent on food this year though. Remain at 8/31 NSDs.Chicken is in the slow cooker, the dogs have been fed and I need to have a shower and chivvy the children along.
Have super days and don’t blow away xx12 -
Morning all xx
I'm back to work today.
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, had a brew, eaten breakfast, packed my lunch and texted H whose son has been sat on a chair in a corridor at the hospital all night waiting for a bed. On IV drip and pain killers. So work could be interesting as the hospital is obviously struggling which has a knock on effect in Community - where I work. Sleeves rolled up and big girl pants are on. I can only do my best.
Take care.

Round.. shall I pop by and lend a hand? I wouldn't mind giving a few people kicks up their rumps today.. They have cancelled all respite care for children with profound disabilities here for 3 months initially so they can use the beds for the elderly who could go home but the support services aren't in place just to free up some ward beds.Today I am listing the stuff from the smaller Vinted box.. and being very pleased once it is done.I have 2 items to post.OH is getting the egg chair upstairs so I can make a start digging out in the middle room.. I would like that bed in situ for tonight.. I am so done with Dot upstairs... though if EC stays once she has the baby she will be needing that room so we may need a rethink.
I want to switch the light shades on the landing and in the hallway for the 3 new ones I bought (reduced from £50 to £15!!)
I need a list..- List V!nted stuff
- Package parcel x2
- Nag SD about ladders so OH can clear the gutters.
- Clear a space in the girls room for Pixies huge egg chair to go up
there... actually.. if OH takes it apart and puts it in there I will
have no choice but to shuffle it to fit..It is now upstairs.. not constructed or anywhere sensible.. but it is upstairs!
- take stuff out from under the bed in the middle room: dismantle bed in middle room .. put it in the car to go to the tip.
- move drawers and desk up 6-8 inches
- put double bed in from the hallway.
- Ponder the colour possibilities for the kitchen repaint.. it will need doing once I have managed to gt the shower fixed/kitchen ceiling fixed and replastered and painted.. I'm thinking I might just paint it pink.. because I can! .. or Aqua.. Or peachy or orange.. or lilac.. sooooo many pretties!! ~ That was so much easier than anticipated!
- remove 3 boxes from the front room which do not need to be in there and are irritating me greatly!! ~ 1 gone
- find tiny box for window lights so I can put those away. Got fed up, found a different box.. took down the lights.. then couldn't get down again. oops...
