Gloriously moist outside so both dryers running and the airers cleared and loaded up.
2 boxes upstairs for my christmas pile.. FLING.
I still have some christmas bits to gt down but I can't find the box.
Someone has just tried to persuade my political views to their way of thinking.. they have zero idea of my political views or my feelings on the human race so that was laughable at best. Apparently I should 'hate Tory voters not war refugees' .. m-hmm... I don't have the energy to hate either, I am thankful for my privelege, there but for the grace of god and chickens! and all that.. I take people as they come.. they're nice, I'm nice; they're unpleasant, I walk away and never have to deal with them again. When we are a single nation and we have a united government and shared wealth in about 5000 years the descendents of these people will be hating those from other planets.. It is mad, but entertaining.
So.. Other than being horrified by the public display bigotry shown towards less fortunate fellow human beings I have planned that today I shall aim to..- SORT THE 5 BASKETS OF CLEAN LAUNDRY IN MY ROOM... yes.. 5!!!!!
- DW x2
- make PROPER FOOD for dinner AT A SENSIBLE TIME!!!!
- Clear a space in the girls room for Pixies huge egg chair to go up there... actually.. if OH takes it apart and puts it in there I will have no choice but to shuffle it to fit..
- take stuff out from under the bed in the middle room: dismantle bed in middle room .. put it in the car to go to the tip.
- move drawers and desk up 6-8 inches
- put double bed in from the hallway.
I don't want to do any of that.. I want to sit.. and knit.. it is too gloomy to do anything else. I have at least 2 babies to knit for.
Twinkle is complaining about her toe still.. I will check it again tonight and replace the plaster. so she now has sore eyes, sore ears, a sore thumb and a sore toe..Right.. DW first while the kettle boils.. my cuppa can come upstairs.. I shall speed fold into piles and OH can put stuff away.. Back in half an hour hopefully...

I braved the elements to feed everyone, goodness me it truly is wicked out there. I have lit the fire and am really thanking myself of a few weeks ago who spent hours chopping pallet wood up to burn.
The hens have laid an egg this morning which I promptly devoured on thick toast, yum. I have also made everyone's beds, done a small amount of the paid stuff and texted a friend who is having a really tough time. I am still in my PJs and, given that I have nowhere to be other than back on the field for lunch and dinner time checks, at which times I will be fully adorned in my waterproofs, I may well stay in them.
Love to all xx12 -
I dug up my buried flylady guag.
Dusted visible surfaces in bedroom and LR. Shut the door on the dining room before I got carried away.
S&s ensuite. I will give the bathroom a good clean at the weekend, after DD has moved back to uni.
Cleaned the hob, even scrubbing the control buttons. For good measure, I then cleaned the tiles behind and wiped the grotty jars etc which are on the side. Can’t remember the last time that I did that…
Wrote birthday card for DSis. I need to remember to buy a stack of cards for early February birthdays. I ought to make them, to start decluttering the (inherited from my mum) card making stuff in the back bedroom. Maybe a Saturday job, if the weather is still as miserable and I am at a loose end.
Mr M came. Maybe 4 meals in the whole delivery, although admittedly some is for DD to take back with her. Freezer jiggled to fit in DD’s stuff. No wriggle room left at all now. I ought to go to the sm to take advantage of ys etc, but at a 30 mile round trip, and road user anxiety, it doesn’t actually seem like a good idea. Most of the time.
I’m going to sort through the store cupboard bits that I have pulled out as needing to be used up. Then it is knitting, as I have nearly finished knitting my first ever sock! Very proud of it, thanks to Pigpen’s pattern / website recommendation. The only problem is that DD apparently wants a pair, so I have to make another one.11 -
Hello again.Everything on original list is done except there is still one wash load to go in machine. I also dusted in bedroom and wiped some windows.I walked Poppet 8n what I thought was a break from the rain and we got soaked. Actually I haven't mopped the floors as it's not worth it in this weather.I've had an early lunch so dishes and sink scrubbing next.Spend less now, work less later.9

I'm just an over-achiever where procrastination is concerned clearly!

Settled myself to an Admin HH. Wrote two birthday cards for next week - both to be hand delivered. Checked Nov and Dec bank statements. Everything filed or added to shredding pile.
Fed the birds and put out the recycling- rain seems to have eased a little.
I'm going to pay the rent (at PO) and buy some pack up bits for lunches the rest of the week as I'm back to full days now. I don't particularly want to venture out but it'll take the pressure off the rest of the week. So I'm going!

Deleted_User said:I normally have the radio on all day at home but I fear they will talk about *that* book all day which I haven’t the interest in. So many pressing urgent needs in our society on our doorstep at the moment that need our attention, not that!Ditto again today. So tired of this gilded soap opera. Well done on your NSD, you've inspired me even if can't manage as many as you. I've found putting off spending really helps, and finding ways around what I think I need to buy by using something I've already got instead.Extra shift put in at the Foodbank this morning because the volunteer colleague I share the work with has C19. She's got 40% lung capacity so she's been very careful for three years, fully vaccinated, and went down with it late last week. As she was told by her specialist she'd die if she caught it when it was first known about, she's delighted to have had a mild case of it and only realised it wasn't just a cold when her OH, who was due to work away so took a test because ... sniffles ... tested positive, so she did and it was. I'm so relieved for her. However, what I don't want is for her to develop Long Covid because she tries to do too much too soon, so I'm covering her work for as long as she'll let me.Yesterday the TD left the building along with a breadmaker and its instructions. Delighted with that. *space*Crazy Cat Lady, if your OH gets that job he'll be highly motivated to clear some of that useful stuff crap out of the attic. There is nothing more tricky than the desire to get rid of attic crap with an unwilling OH. We've got a four bay attic and Belovéd put a full bay's worth up there 30 years ago and hardly any of it has ever been moved an inch. If your OH needs the space cleared that sounds like a perfect opportunity to let a fair amount of it go. If it hasn't been used for 20 years ....Better is good enough.8
