  • Hi everyone.
I joined the beginning of the year with a 1% of around £660. It was difficult but I have been plodding along paying a debt at a time (Paid off a total of £6500 so far)
My next debt is £13,031 and I am being ambtious and want it gone by the end of September.

Can I rejoin please with a 1% of £130.31. I have just returned from holidays with £1257.30 spending money left which I have put straight towards it.

    1257.30/£13,031 (9.64%)

    Thank you in advance
That's an amazing amount to have paid off in such a short space of time so well done.
I have every confidence that you will meet your next target. Good luck.
Do you have any plans on how you are going to find the money to do it? Any inspiration would be gratefully received :)
I'm looking at how I can save money as well as make money. I am going to get better at meal planning, shopping with a list, shopping around for offers to hopefully shave £100 a month off my grocery bill.
I hope to be able to spread my working week over 4 days instead of 5 (keeping the same amount of hours) so that I can spend a day picking up mystery shops. I enjoy doing these but don't very often get the chance to do them anymore. Hoping to achieve £100 a week from this after tax and expenses deducted.
We allow ourselves £100 each a month 'personnel spends'. We have both decided to forefit these for the next 4 months.
We have £800 a month disposable income currently, however for the past 18 months we have been saving for a holiday to Florida which meant this £800 was eaten up. We have now been on that holiday so that money is now available for debt repayment.
Other plans include making sure I check Prolific daily, sell some bits and pieces and anything else I think of along the way!!
Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42
    Current debt May 2024- £40,064.57
    Repaid 39.42%

That sounds like a great plan and I hope you enjoyed the holiday.
Who did you sign up ti for mystery shopping? I used to love doing this and then found I no longer had the time but I'm thinking of trying to get back into it again.

Good luck with the percentages - you should be able to get it easily paid off for September with a good plan like that.

I used to use loads of different companies, but the work is few and far between these days . I prefer the app based ones now, not waiting days for approval, pay instantly and shorter!!

Quick post from me to declare £10 added to my OP savings account today from two sales on FB Marketplace. Small progress but progress is progress (I have to keep repeating it in my head to try and keep me motivated) :)

This brings my total now to £13133.43/ £81700 = 16.07%

I have finally managed to add a bit more into the OP savings account today. A total of £69.70 made up of a FB Marketplace sale of £17.95 and my chippy wages earned last week of £51.75.

This brings my total now to £13203.13/ £81700 = 16.16%

I'm creeping slowly but hopefully surely towards that next 1% :)
