No spends today 😀 I’ve taken dinner to a friend I used to work with years ago, she had surgery just before Christmas and is on the mend nicely. We put the world to rights and had a good laugh. We have gone long periods without seeing each other but whenever we see each other we pick up as if it was last week we were together.
    Priceless  :)

Have to admit I’m very lucky with my friends. When I was poorly many years ago, it certainly sorted the wheat from the chaff 👍I wouldn’t wish to be as ill as I was back in 2006 but it was a life changer for me…..it gave me the momentum to sort my finances and I realised the folk that stood by me were worth keeping as very good friends 👍 I didn’t hear from quite a few so they’ve just faded into the background.
Like most places, it’s  sheet ice in our Ave. There was just enough snow to stick, freeze and make it lethal. Just beyond our Ave there’s a dead end…..cars and particularly delivery vans fly down expecting to hit the main road then reverse down and turn around our Ave…. I’ve been watching various vehicles with spinning wheels and the backs of the vans haven’t followed the fronts. I’m staying put today with no intention of stepping over the doorstep. The binmen are due but there’s no sign of them yet. I suspect they’ll say it’s too treacherous.
I’m going to have a quick tidy up. Tea will be easy. I have a packet of ham that needs using so I’ll do ham, eggs, chips and beans. Haven’t had anything like for a while. I’ve got a lasagne in the fridge for tomorrow….I made 3 small ones yesterday and took 1 to my friend’s, one for the freezer and the other, we were going to have tonight but then I discovered the ham 😏
Right time to put this iPad away and get on with something 😀
I sat snuggled with my friends dog yesterday…..got me thinking again 🐶❤️🐶

More snow here. It’s looks very pretty but I’m not going out in it. I actually expected more snow as it came on tv that the local airport had closed for a while and it’s only about 3 miles away.  Dh has gone out and will bring some bread and milk in. So I won’t be spending any cash again. I’ve stopped counting my NSDs as I found it counter productive. I got into the mindset of…..well I might as well buy……(whatever) as I’ve already spent today. I find it better to total my spends for the month instead 😀 Different mind games work for different folks 👍

I know a lot of folk on here have said the same about counting NSD's milann - I can certainly see how it could be a slippery slope. I rarely tally up NSD's, and usually don't think about the fact that I've had one until the following day!
