All went well this morning. We left at 7 and the traffic was better than we expected on the motorway- but was building up as we were getting closer to our destination so had we have left later I think it would have been a lot busier. We were about 1/2 hour early so decided to pop in a petrol station with a cafe inside. We walked in and walked out again £3.99 each for a coffee…..not a chance. We headed straight to the hospital and Dh dropped me off. By the time we got there and I’d been to the loo I was only about 5 minutes early. I went to X-ray walked straight in. Waited about 15 minutes to see Doc. He said all the implants are still where they should be and put the agro I’m having down to arthritis and shoulder problems - which are both common after elbow surgery. He’s sending me to physio. I asked if I can have it at my local hospital so he’s making the referral. He said it could be a while. Dh usually pops in a local garden centre to look at the aquariums whilst waiting for me, but since we had an early appointment it wasn’t open….hospital request you visit alone if possible. He’d just got to the town nearby and found a parking place when I phoned to say I was ready. I’d got there at quarter to nine…..had an x-ray, seen the doc and walked to the entrance so I could get a phone signal and I phoned him at 9.30 👍👍 Can’t knock that 😃
We decided to go to a seaside place. We went to the one we usually go to at New Year so headed to the alternative. It was very grey but we were more than half way there so decided we’d chance it there for breakfast and if it was wet we’d come home. It started with torrential rain and wind just as we drove to the front…we’d usually walk to ‘spoons from the front (a little free parking place we know 😉) but decided it was too wet so drove to the nice spoons (there are 2) on the posh Street -  well it used to noted for its posh shops…..many closed now though 😢 There we’re no parking and by the time we got there the sun was shining 😃 so off we toddled to our freebie spot and walked back in the sunshine. Ok it wa s freezing and blowing a gale but the 🌞was out. We both ate and had drinks sitting by a fire for less than the price of the coffees at the petrol station. I spent £13 altogether, on a birthday card and putting some money to a Next voucher I had for a cardigan 😃
The seaside place has sea but it’s often a very long way out more often than not. Anyway it was in quite a long way and there were actually waves on the sea….which you don’t often see there. There is quite a nice marine lake so we walked a bit of the way around it as it was more sheltered than the actual seafront….walked back to the car and drove along the seafront- we’d have been blown away had we tried to walk.
A lovely day was had and we drove home on the ordinary roads rather than the motorway

Glad all went well today for you. My DIL took a family member for a hospital appt, this morning just after 10.00am. When they got there they were told there was a hours delay. They were then told there was approx 3 hour delay due to a certain royal couple visiting the hospital. In the end it was just over 2 hours they were delayed but they got to see the royal couple close up and the family member had a good report from the hospital.

  • Glad your hospital appointment went well & you managed a visit to the seaside. That coffee price is scandulous. You need to buy a thermos flask...🙂

No royal visits at my hospital amber. We will be visiting that neck of the woods again fairly soon in Millie Motorhome as we’ve been bought tickets for an afternoon tea on a boat around the dock 😃 there’s a great Turkish restaurant we go to so will probably visit there too and have a walk along the river 👍 We’ve not booked yet though as the weather has been so wet.
It put my mind at rest Beanie….I was wondering if my body was rejecting it.
Makingbobor we do often take a flask and we didn’t want a drink as such - it was more a time killing exercise. No way was I parting with best part of £8 for 2 paper cups of coffee 😳
Well yesterday I went to SW and lost 2lb - I was happy with that as I’d eaten out 4 times 😉 we then went on the tram to big city nearby as we had free (a couple of £ admin fee) tickets to a caravan and camping show. It was quite strange to think the venue was a covid hospital not so long ago 😳😳 Anyway they were very expensive tickets by the end of the day as Dh treated himself to something he’s had his beady eye for several years - he actually saved quite a bit of money 😃 and he treated me to a massage gun. I have a sample of these every opportunity I get and use them when I go to the gym. Anyway there was a great show offer on so he treated me to it. We had a drink and tea in town before heading home. I’m actually quite pleased I didn’t pay for the tickets as the show was a shadow of its former self.
Today I will be doing the bare minimum after my busy couple of days. I only spent £4.20 on my tram ticket 👍

Sounds like a good few days there milann - even if a bit spendy (although by the sound of it for MrM rather than you, so much!) Great reassurance from the hospital appointment there too - and good news that it is just the sort of issues that could be expected and that with luck physio will help - fingers crossed that the referral comes through nice and fast.

Well the weekend came and went. We had a very lazy Saturday and Ds came around yesterday. We managed a walk by the river in between showers 😀
I went to tai chi this morning and had a cuppa with a lady I know. Rubbish ankle afterwards so not a lot has been achieved here as I’ve sat with my foot raised.
Just going to watch George Clark…..it makes me want a project though 😂😂😂

No spends today 😀 I’ve taken dinner to a friend I used to work with years ago, she had surgery just before Christmas and is on the mend nicely. We put the world to rights and had a good laugh. We have gone long periods without seeing each other but whenever we see each other we pick up as if it was last week we were together.
