Glad you had a lovely time and well done on the weight loss. Your north/south weather divide reminded me of the time I visited my cousin just 50 miles north of me. It was a very warm day here so set off in summer clothes only to find it a tad chilly her end 🥶I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Had my flu and covid jabs yesterday. I’d booked towards the end of the month but had a call from the surgery to bring it forward. I know of a lot of folk with covid atm so it made sense,
Ds came around and we went to a lake about 45 minutes away. I’d never been before and we rode on a little train part way around the lake then continued to walk around….We’d got about 3/4 ways round and there was a stile…..we weren’t impressed as we had to turn around and walk back…don’t think I’d have got over and there was no wheelchair opening for ds 😡...and we’d missed the train for the last section back. I enjoyed it but am so tired today as we walked further than planned. Had tea at a lovely spoons courtesy of ds 😁😁
My bulbs and plants arrived on Thursday so today is the day to start planting them. Not sure how many I’ll get done but’ll get them started.A busy week ahead - dentist, a couple of birthday meals out and doctors appointment for more bloods and a theatre trip. I’ll be in bed at 8 every night 😂😂 then I need some time with no plans to recoup and get a few bits done 👍 I won’t be too disappointed if something gets cancelled…January spends - £587.582 -
A busy week ahead!

I didn’t get many bulbs planted…..some were corms not bulbs and I had a slight memory they needed soaking before planting so I consulted Mr Googly and I was right so they’re going in the ground tomorrow. Then I’ll plant my tubs for the front at some time this week. Not sure what possessed me to buy so many bulbs 😳 hopefully I’ll remember why next spring 😁
No cash spent over the weekend either 😁January spends - £587.580 -
The bulbs will look great when they bloom though. I sometimes buy so many it takes an age to plant them out but well worth it when Spring comes around.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Dentist is done and dusted. It was a new dentist as my old one retired during covid. He was absolutely lovely and very thorough….the upshot is 3 fillings which I suspect at least one has needed doing for a while but we’ve had various temporary dentists who have brushed me off when I’ve pointed the problem out telling me to use sensitive toothpaste. They’ve also been very dismissive and one even said no dentist would do any treatment on me as I have an infusion which can affect gum healing. Anyway so far so good with this new one…..he even checked my neck for lumps and did a cancer screen on my mouth which I’ve never had done before, they’ve probably looked for signs in your mouth but I’ve never had one examine my neck before or had it mentioned. £70 spent but I can reclaim via Simply Health….I’m hanging on to him as I’m lucky to still have a NHS one 😁
Todays plan is to do some more bulb planting and at least hoover the floor…
We’re changing t’internet suppliers to one I’ve never heard of before….they’re new to the area and so far everything I’ve read has been positive. Dh will be in on Thursday to deal with them and ask all the technical questions I know he’ll want to ask. Apparently it a higher speed for a few pounds less per month, although for the first 3 months I think it’s only £1….I’d glazed over by the time he’d finished telling me all the details 😂😂😂😂😂 He seems happy enough with the deal though 👍January spends - £587.580
