  • You're having a right busy time at the moment aren't you! Good to hear things are all going well though - are the antibiotics having the hoped for effect?

I'd consider complaining about that walking route, particularly if it was claimed as being accessible.

I think a lot of those walks have been innundated with the boy racers so they go the easy route to stop them & forget that it can no longer be called accessible.  A stile is an easy low maintenance fix, where a gate is not so much.  A pity a small minority have to spoil things for others.  You should definitely complain as it is always possible that those in charge have not realised.  They don't always join the dots.

I’ve had a lovely couple of days pottering and planting bulbs in the garden. I love this weather warm enough to be out in short sleeves but not too hot. All 500 bulbs and plants are planted out in pots and in the actual garden….I’ve tidied some areas and want to thin out a few more plants. My friend is very happy as she went home with an assorted bagful….heuchera, autumnal pink sedum that I don’t know the name of, amenomes and various fuschia cuttings. I do like to share plants out rather than composting them.
She picked me up and we went to my favourite Turkish restaurant  but we both had a full English breakfast….first time I’ve not eaten Turkish food in there 😂😂She has lost 2 stone at SW and is on a mission to loose more before she goes on holiday next week, so I was very good too…..so good my halo is shining as I wrapped my sausages which were big fat Butchers ones and brought them home for Dh 😂😂😂😂😂. I can take or leave sausages, I much prefer the bacon 😜
When we googled the walk from weekend (after the event😏) it did actually say not accessible….that’ll teach us not to do the research properly. A friend had recommended the walk and knows we go with Dh and didn’t mention the stile and they know we need accessibility so we just didn’t think to check 😏
£20 was spent today at the garden centre. I’d run out of compost and wanted a few pansies….could have been a much bigger spend but i reigned it in big time. The compost was interesting 😵‍💫 I couldn’t lift the bag and couldn’t find any staff to help. I managed to slide it on the low loading trolley then put the trolley right at the side of my car and somehow slid and flipped it into my footwell….once home I called at a neighbour who is usually in to ask for help to get  it out….nobody in. I didn’t want to wait for Dh as I wanted to finish the job before the rain sets in tomorrow and I only had a couple of pots left to do…..typically I’d run out  just at the end of the job. I have a tough truck which I put things in rather than carrying them so did the whole thing in reverse….got it right next to the car…..with a combination of pulling and shoving and kneeling on the drivers seat to push I managed to flip it into said tough truck. Peter Kay could have written a comedy sketch 😂😂😂😂 but where’s there’s a will there’s a way 😂😂😂 I wouldn’t mind it was only a smallish bag- half the size I get when Dh is with me 😏 Once it was in the truck I could easily wheel it to my little workstation where I sat and completed the job 😁
I’m meeting my sil at the big shopping mall nearby tomorrow. I’m getting the tram but think I’ll drive to the station - I’m still recovering from weekend 😂😂 Wish me luck 😂😂

500 bulbs 😱 What a palaver with the compost 🤣

Enjoy tomorrow, hopefully you’ll get a rest on Thursday.

OMG…..never again. Let’s say it has become apparent how confused and unstable my sil is getting. So much so that I wouldn’t let her drive home and rang Dh to come and drive her car. I hate the roads around there -  4 lanes with lots of motorway run ins 😳😳😳 I followed Dh to her house, thankfully the roads were very quiet, we dropped her off to make sure she was ok then he took me to where I’d parked my car near the tram stop. A day I don’t want to repeat in a hurry.
I spent about £20 on a couple of bits and 2 lots of drinks and 1 cake each. I chose a nice pair of earrings from her for my birthday…..when did costume jewellery become so expensive….she wanted to get me expensive ones from a jewellers but  I wouldn’t be drawn in. I have a limit on presents and would only choose something within that range so I found a suitable pair in a clothes shop that also sells accessories……I think they were worth half the price they were charging and wouldn’t have bought them myself. Anyway she was happy I’d found something.
Right I’m off to bed. Nighty night 😁

A lovely lazy(ish) day today. I’ve pottered around the garden. Went to have my blood sucked again. They’re retesting one which had an abnormal reading and then testing for different things. Can’t say they’re not thorough.
I popped to post a letter as I was passing Mr Ms and noticed they’d had a new delivery of pansies, they were a disgrace the other day - dead……literally 😡 They must waste thousands of pounds by not watering plants in there. It used to be great but recently nobody waters them so unless it’s a new delivery i wouldn’t touch with a barge pole. I bought a couple more trays on my way home from the doctors which looked as good as my garden centre ones at £1 a tray cheaper plus I didn’t need to jump in the car to get there. So I’m fully planted out now.
The man came to fit the new t’internet provider today. Dh seems quite pleased so if he’s happy everyone is 😂😂
Dh has gone out so I’m watching catch up Corrie wrapped up cozily with a cuppa.
Tomorrow is SW and I’m meeting a very old friend for brunch and I’m really looking forward to it as I haven’t seen her for about a year.
Today was a very spendy day as I renewed my gym membership. I need to use it. I have been enjoying aqua recently so long may it continue 😁👍

I met my friend this morning and spent a lovely couple of hours catching up. We’re going for a swim and lunch in November as we don’t want to leave it so long 👍 I was very flattered when we were talking about age and she said she thinks of me as her age…..she is 51 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I told her to keep that thought in her head 👍 I was home before midday and then spent the afternoon snoozing- can’t believe how tired I was and I’ve had a couple of nights good sleep…..didn’t feel 51 this afternoon 😂😂😂
I phoned Dd and wished her happy birthday - Dh cooked tea and not a penny has left my purse or credit card.😁
I called into SW just to weigh in and stayed the same which in itself is a mini miracle as I’ve eaten out most days this week in one way or another 😵‍💫
Tomorrow is a trip to big city to see The Drifters girl. I have seen the Drifters many times over the years including at a wedding where they played all evening 🥂👍 it was one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended. So it should be a good show 😁
