I went to a U3A coffee morning this morning. I don’t usually bother going but it was ok, so I might just go again. There was a man introducing a new class - apparently he’s a personal trainer with an interest with keeping balance and preventing falls in older people. He does some work at the local hospital that specialises in cancer treatments. Anyway I’ve said I’ll go along and see what he has to say….it’s only once a month - just hope he’s not just using U3A to drum up business for his PT work. I’m a tad suspicious 😂😂
I nipped to get milk at asd@ and got a couple of other bits. My phone just about managed with the app…..I was done to 5% power on it as I forgot to put it on charge last night. Anyway on my £5 spend I got £1 bonus and won £1 on the daily spin. My Christmas reward pot was £4 a couple of weeks ago and now it’s £16 and that’s just buying what I usually buy when I go shopping there and earning various rewards 👍😁

I’d half planned on visiting my brother today but he’s on childminding duties at one of his children’s houses. I’m absolutely livid - one of his grandchildren started secondary school a week or so ago….a group of older kids just a year older decided it’d be a good idea to use the new kids as a punch bag and football and his grandchild ended up with 2 fractures in his arm which needed surgery. There didn’t seem to be any provocation other than they were newbies. Anyway he’s making a good recovery but his mum and dad need to get back to work so my brother has taken residency there for a while. Words fail me 😡 Anyway I’m going to get a get well card and put a bit of cash in for him to share with his sibling…who is also really shaken by the whole incident. I tossed and turned last night as I couldn’t get it out of my mind.
I’m going to investigate train tickets to go and see Dd between our birthdays which are 2 weeks apart, my over 60s train pass runs out in a few weeks so I might as well make the most of it.
I also want to sort out and clean my kitchen and dining room cupboards over the next couple of weeks. Think I’ll start with  my cereal, Christmas treat and tea towel cupboard today. I still have things in there from last year. This year I’m not going to buy as much……I’m not going to get carried away in the shops ……I’m not……I’m really, really not 👍

Badmemory I can’t condone blaming single mothers as I have no idea what circumstances the little darlings come from and I’ve know children from all sorts of families that don’t behave as their parents would expect…..I’ve also know some parents where the children behave better than the parents. I know many single parents doing a fantastic job !! I suspect the kids were acting as ‘big guys’ - it shouldn’t have happened whatever the background. My family have concentrated on getting through surgery and hospital appointments this week but will most definitely want answers from the school and will take it further. It isn’t around here but a well to do area about 20 miles away. So it happens everywhere.
I have been to the train station and bought my ticket to see Dd. I do like going on my own every now and then 😃 I’ve bought my get well card and a book of stamps……over £8 😳😳😳😳I’ve taken some cash out to replenish some pots I’d borrowed from. I need to do some number crunching and pay my cc in full .

Got another £1.20 on my @sda reward card. I now have £17 in the Christmas bonus pot….all this has been just buying my usual things. I’ve had a couple of £1 wins spinning the wheel 👍 I’ve definitely found this the best reward scheme for me 😃 Although I have a Morrison’s around the corner I rarely go in there since they had a refit. They’ve made the shelving so high I can only reach half the things and they’ve taken out most of the tills for self service. I refuse to use the self service as I like to speak to somebody and it’ll take jobs away from folk 😡

Sorry you have misunderstood, I do not blame single mothers, I am one myself.  It is often the ex, teaching their children that their mother is not a good person.  I have seen it, a classmate of my son's when he was around seven walking behind his mother giving her back a V sign encouraged by his father.  A neighbours 3 & 5 yr old bullying the neighbourhood kids.  Mother is left dealing with the fallout & it becomes all their fault.
My own son was ignored by his father from being 8 & him finding a younger model.  Always a really good well behaved person.  Suddenly came home at 14 stating that women just worked for pin money.  As his father hadn't paid maintenance for 4 yrs at that point I regret to say my response was a little sarcastic.  Yes he had been at a friend's house whose mother had been a homemaker.  Interestingly her 2 daughters are still happily married with children & good jobs, the same can not be said of the son.

    Thanks Badmemory.
Well today could have been interesting. I’m going to aqua later. Sometimes I put my cozzie on here and sometimes I get changed at the pool. I decided to get ready here this morning and thank goodness I did 😳😳😳😂😂😂 it didn’t feel quite right. Too much room and draughty. When I investigated the seam in the behind had become come completely undone in the washing machine. There is a little frill covering part of it but not a big enough frill to cover my modesty 😂😂😂😂. All I can say is thank goodness I didn’t get changed at the pool I put my old cozzie on which I feel a bit conscious in as it isn’t as ruffled over my tummy to hide things…..certainly better than my behind hanging out though 😂😂😂
No spends planned today. I’ll leave my purse at home so I don’t get tempted in the cafe. I’m making use of my gym membership too 👍
Im moving along to the next cupboard in the kitchen for an autumnal clean as I sorted my Christmas treat and cereal one yesterday. 😁 one time I’d have done the whole kitchen in a day but getting up and down is tricky nowadays so a cupboard at a time will still get the job done. I am learning to pace myself.

Thank goodness you spotted that cozzie malfunction!
I:m gradually sorting out kitchen cupboards too. Pleased with progress so far, but can't put off tackling the pantry for much longer. Not much point having a walk-in pantry if I can't walk into it!
