INOD that’s what I’m planning on doing….but I’m having 2nd thoughts. I know the people at SW and they are lovely- why am I throwing their friendship away. Maybe I need to do a bit more thinking and get my head in gear….I’d given myself a year to loose weight - I’ve lost 81/2lb  so far….not brilliant at all but I haven’t put it on.
The new class was ok…..more gentle than the previous yoga class I went to, but I felt exactly the same as I did the one and only time I ever tried yoga. Car sick….a sickly headache which is still there. I have  no idea how it happened as in the yoga there were lots of different head positions but not as much today. Think I’ll stick with my aqua. I had a bit of a moment and very nearly didn’t go….I’d had the doors open this morning with the blinds across to keep the room cool. I went to close the door and the metal had expanded in the full sun. There was absolutely no way that door was going to shut. I poured cold water on it to try and cool it - not a chance. I took a big gamble and went out with the back doors open. It’s a good job Dh didn’t pop back. The side gates were locked and next door have a very high fence so there’s not much chance of anybody getting around the back. There were workmen on the roof of the house at the back so anybody trying to climb over would have been spotted. I’d intended going shopping afterwards but came straight back. Everything was fine.
Its like scaffold city near here the 2 houses opposite are having a new roof each, as is the house backing onto me in the next Ave. Hopeful we won’t be needing one in the foreseeable future…..I won’t hold my breath. If a new roof is needed it’s far better to get both parts of the semi done together. We have a young couple with a toddler who I suspect wouldn’t be able to stretch to that atm. So I really hope ours lasts a little longer.
I did go shopping when Dh came home - the sun had moved around so the back door shut again. I’d had a £5 off a £50 spend and I needed to top up on store cupboard basics. £70 later…..but it’s all things that needed stocking up and better to get a £5 voucher than leave it until next week without the voucher.
Tomorrow I want a general tidy up, go to aqua and pack the van for Thursday. Hopefully it’ll be a tad cooler near the big river than it is here it’s been horrendously hot…..too hot for me .

I was lying awake early this morning- contemplating whether to call SW a day or stick with it. Thinking of Beanie and others on these threads…..got up on the spur of the moment and went to a 7.30 group as I can’t make my usual one on Friday. I’d lost 2lb. Not sure how but it takes me back to where I was. I came home and listened to some of the motivational tapes about not giving up I have from earlier this year. I’m sure they’ve made a difference  as previously I’d have walked away…..put a stone back on and then rejoined. The best way to save money is to get to target and then I won’t need to pay.  I enjoy the company….the motivation to be accountable is good for me and I need to loose about a stone and a half for my health…..it’s a no brainer really. I am trying to avoid upf and probably not following SW to the letter but it’s the accountability I’m after. Is it that I’ve reduced upf - eating full fat instead of the low fat versions of things  that gave me the 2 lb loss as I haven’t been counting syns 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
I went to aqua this afternoon but in between have been sorting the house ready to go tomorrow. It wasn’t bad as I’ve kept on top of things ( those tapes have definitely done something for me)
My skin has been rubbish for a while and this afternoon I brushed my finger against the edge of the bedding box. I didn’t realise I’d cut it and had to rewash the duvet cover as it had blood all over it where my skin had tore.  Getting mightily fed up of it. My arms look as if I’ve been battered…..I haven’t.
Right off to get the last few things ready for the van now my finger is plastered up and had stopped bleeding 😏

We had a lovely weekend away in Millie. I did post about it but it isn’t here….apologies if its turned up elsewhere 😵‍💫 It was a lovely chilled time as we’d bought a 48 hour tour bus ticket. We jumped on and off the bus around town….it was too hot to walk around much and kept us cool in the breeze of the open top bus. The guides were very entertaining and we did a tour of the most famous band from the city’s homes. The guide had his guitar and sang many of the songs in situ where they were actually written or written about. It also included access to the museum about the band and a free glass of fizz at a historic pub where they played. It was excellent value at £20 as the entrance to the museum alone was £15. I’d happily go back there a couple of times a year as there’s always something to see and do. Love just people watching by the riverfront.
I did an aqua class yesterday which I enjoyed. I went to see a friend who I haven’t seen for a while. They’ve been on my mind since and I kept dreaming about them last night.
I roasted a chicken in the air fryer yesterday- twas very tasty…we will be having it for tea tonight and sandwiches too. The bones have been in the slow cooker all night and I’m about to make some soup for dinner. I love chicken and lentil soup 😀 I’m not sure whether I’ll have lost or not at sw this week as I fully enjoyed my meals out at weekend…it’ll be what it’ll be. I’m still veering toward eating less upf food and incorporating it into my SW plan….

That sounds like a lovely weekend away. On the subject of lost posts, when we were on holiday I thought I’d posted a picture of my restaurant meal to my FB feed only to get the message waiting for approval by admin. I was a tad puzzled by this until it appeared on the FB group of the hotel we stayed in 🙄 Goodness knows how I managed that!

SA I’m glad I’m not the only one who looses posts. No idea what happened to it.
Not much to report today….feel I’m getting a tad boring.
No cash spent….used my gym membership to go to aqua - loved it. Went to my U3A and showed some ladies how to crochet granny squares.
The injection in my ankle has worn off quite quickly this time. Although we used the bus a lot we did do some walking- 3 days on the run hasn’t done me any good….need to keep using it though.

  • That's a shame about the injection having worn off quickly - it really doesn't seem to be that long since you last had it done at all? Hopefully you can come up with a combination of resting it where possible while still being as active as yo want to be which will be a suitable compromise.

    Thanks EH.
It was the beginning of August I had the ankle injection. I went to aqua again and it  felt brilliant in the water and then I was hobbling back to the changing room. I think half of the problem yesterday was I didn’t go out and was in my slippers all day. I need to wear my trainers with support to keep it in the right position. I’m hoping it’ll settle again if I wear my trainers constantly.
I treated myself to a light lunch at the gym. Goats cheese with asparagus, pea purée and pea shoots.  It was delicious and looked like something from a very posh restaurant. I probably shouldn’t have spent the cash but it was worth every penny, as I was feeling a bit meh and it was better than the cake or chocolate that I nearly succumbed to. I get 25% off all food and drink. It wasn’t biggest portion in the world as it really should have been a starter but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Dh is working all week as they’re short staffed -  his boss has travelled abroad to drum up some business- think Dh is hoping for an odd night abroad working. He doesn’t seem to be thinking of slowing down 😂😂
Im just attempting to make a new roof for one of the railway buildings……shouldn’t be too difficult. Mmmmm……watch this space 🤞

Just been listening to the radio and a song by David Soul came on. A blast from the past I’d totally forgotten about. Funny how a song can transport you back in time. I was in London on a college trip 😂😂😂😂😂

Beanie - I think so 😂😂 Just hope he doesn’t leave it too late to enjoy his retirement. Got to admit I quite enjoy the 3 working days for me to do housework and my things…..I’d get nothing done if he was at home  all the time…..he distracts me too much 😂😂
