Everything is clean and sorted for the bedrooms- I still need to put the beds up and do some shopping. They’re not arriving until 4 ish tomorrow so if I don’t get it all done tonight I can do it first thing before ds arrives to take me a ride in his new car.. right I need to get on. I really shouldn’t have gone out today but it was lovely catching up with friends.January spends - £587.581

It’s been a manic but lovely few days with the gks. We had an at home day baking and playing games together. Yahtzee is a big favourite. We visited a NT place which was a former cotton mill. The gks loved it and couldn’t get over the fact that a couple of hundred years ago they’d be working a 12 hour shift in the mill. Think they were pleased they’re living today and not back then. We went to the big museum in town that has recently reopened after a big refit. We had a Chinese one evening whilst ds and Dd went out together - they rarely see each other on their own. Eldest gdd has been wanting a Chinese take away as she has never had one as there isn’t one near to where they live. Yesterday Ds took them to some friends that live in a beautiful Yorkshire city about an hour and half from here where they were meeting their dad who couldn’t come to us due to work and are spending the weekend camping out in the garden with lots of other old friends…..seemed a good idea when the weather was nice but hopefully they won’t have had the rain we’ve had today…it’s pelted it down all day. We travelled to Yorkshire and met ds after he’d deposited everyone at their friend’s house for a day in the city….it was lovely and it didn’t rain on us 😁Today I’ve not done a lot except rest.
I did nip to specsavers to get my hearing aids sorted….I now have 2 new hearing aids - one a couple of weeks ago and one this morning. So far so good as I’m now whistle free 🤞👍👏 it was driving me nuts. The audiologist suggested that if I get more whistling I’ll have to have proper moulds and not the soft domes I now have. I really don’t want moulds as the last time I had them I ended up with blisters in my ears 😡
I need to do some number crunching and pay my cc. It has been a spendy month again.

Ds came around yesterday afternoon and we went out in his new car, Dh hadn’t been in it as we were busy with our visitors. Dh had a drive through the hills to a town about 45 minutes away. We had a short walk through the pavilion and sat with a cuppa listening to a brass band playing. There was a lovely atmosphere and lots of folk about. Ds treated us to tea out and then he drove back through the hills. We were up in the clouds so couldn’t se the beautiful scenery around us which is a pity as I haven’t been along that particular route for years.I’m just off to the hospital for an injection into my hip. That is hopefully the last of my appointments for a good while. It’s been quite a month 😳January spends - £587.581

Had the injection. I walked there and got a taxi back….luckily it’s not far and was £6….just out of the standing charge.
I fell asleep this afternoon and could just nod off again. I’ve still not paid my cc…..I need to get a wriggle on as it’s getting dangerously close to the end of the month 😳 I don’t want to pay interest. I have a payment of minimum going out every month but always pay it all off in full.
I’m not planning any swims or gyms visits this week as I need to take it easy after the injection. Last time I had it my hip gave when I was going upstairs and it spooked me a bit so now I do as I’m told and really do take it easy.January spends - £587.582 -
