I always feel that a bedroom should be on the darker side of the house as most people want them darker and cooler than living areas so layout sounds good.   Plus if u were looking at it through a phone link good chance the camera would not properly pick up anytime a window was near ?

Changing personal taste things will always be needed as it would be highly unlikely anyone would like every single thing about a house, location,  garden and decoration so if its only the cabinet doors I'd say you are doing well lol

    Enjoy faro

Thanks Daisy I am still thinking about the house DG is really keen but cannot see when we can go and view it. She is suggesting I do it on my own and only weekend is last weekend in March which is really soon as next weekend is full on. Also just realised that Ryanair is stopping the Stanstead to Billund route which is really annoying. Denmark is adding a 4 euro charge per passenger so that is it. There are other options but still a pain. I am going to speak to my mum about the house but so far these are our next steps.

We said to the estate agent we would be in touch Monday so that tomorrow. We cancelled the buyers meeting we had with the posh company on Friday as they changed the time. We hope to speak to them Wednesday but they have not confirmed there are others so I might as the estate agent who he might suggest. As far as we can see our buyers house is not on the market yet but that could be because of the rush to complete the houses before April deadline but not sure what is going on. It feels unsettled not knowing and too soon to make an offer on the Danish house a because I have not seen it and b because our buyers are not even on the market yet.

Aside from that spent so much money on holiday but all out of joint funds and accounted for. We did have a great time even if it rained a lot. The last part of the trip was half board last year but only the first night had dinner incl this year so that was an extra expense but Portugal is cheap to eat out in at least.

I also spent £20 on bulbs via the MSE offer but they can come to Denmark with me. Also this morning spent £120 on two super king size sheets. I have looked at them for ages and they were 15% off. I hate the way ours move around so hope these will fix things.

The removal company is coming to quote tomorrow afternoon, we have 3 evenings of gym planned and work is really full on as a piece of work I thought I could get out off I can't now. I also need to do something for the work restructure which might take ages might not.

We did have a good meeting with the web designer and another one booked to look at social media pages. We have paid for hosting for 5 years now and domain name for 5 too. There is a lot of of stuff still to write on the site but taken a Friday off to do that will help. Obviously if I do have to go to Denmark to view a house that will get scrapped.

Today I am going to list some stuff on Vinted, continue to sort the garden out, maybe go to the spa but I have a horrible cold.

It sounds odd that the potential buyers haven't even listed their house for sale yet. Hope it all works out.

Thanks Savingholmes I am really hoping to hear some news today it has been two weeks since they made the offer and said it was going on so surely they should get on the market this week. To be fair they do not know we have seen something we like in Denmark.

Meeting with the buyers advice company is on Weds so that great to have that confirmed. I have also emailed the Danish estate agent to say we are interested and not in a rush.

Work is even more mental as something I thought I had pulled out of is now back and will take up today and tomorrow but I also need to fit in the survey for our own restructure. The jobs. Best crack on with some reading.

Things feel a little out of control but we are both working together and trying to take things step by step.

The Danish estate agent came back and all good there he has recommended some more buyers advisers and one has already been in touch. Hopefully we can speak to him soon as we have the meeting with the other tomorrow. It is so weird to have to take this level of advice on stuff I would be absolutely fine to do myself over here.

I have also got a solicitor lined up for my sale the same one I used last time I am happy with that. We are meeting the buyers on Sunday so I can update them then. My golf got cancelled which was fine I am happy about that as really it was a bout too much.

I do find it helpful to come on here and write down my thoughts not very MSE related at the moment but I will try. Cancelled the window cleaner cleaning the gutters as it does not need it now but asked him to do the inside instead.

I am going to a sewing festival in London on Saturday so look forward to that with my sewing club. something to take my mind off everything else going on.

Doing myself a quick to do list:
    - Line up buying solicitor in Denmark
    - Await quote for moving - might need second one if it is too scare

Oh my goodness... I was behind on diaries, came back here and missed all the excitement!  All sounds really exciting and things are all moving on!  And thank you for cheering up my day which otherwise consisted of more emails for price rises and reading the news (that latter one is always a mistake!).
A sewing festival sounds really interesting.  My mum is good at sewing, but I've always been rubbish and now I don't have the patience.  My sewing skills are limited to mending stuff generally, although I used to be really good at hand stitching things (which did branch out to cross stitch/embroidery etc).

Markets are taking a hammering I really hate that man is he even sane! I think I will pay for the advice re Danish tax I should pay off in the long run and save time and fines if we did get it wrong. I think it will end up with DG not officially living in Denmark until her big cases are settled hopefully not be more than a few months.

The sewing festival sounds lovely, I need to steer clear as I will buy stuff and not start any of the projects - have 3 x fabric here to have a test dress idea which I have not tackled

on the man being sane, I am not sure that is even a question  having even watched his electioneering ... and his current behaviour that is so upsetting, every day is a new farce except there are real people involved. I think the question is though 'were those who voted for him sane?'
I note on reddit the slow descent  from grim irony to absolute horror as those who didnt vote for him are watching the impact of his policies on their parents/loved ones  who did vote for him as food prices, tariffs, loss of undocumented workers who really do the farming etc  etc make everything more expensive and oh yes the loss of Medicaid and possibly food stamps..
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I too doubt the sanity of all those involved.

Good luck with the house sale and buying. It sounds like things are moving - as long as they sell in the right timeframe.

Thanks QueenJess, LWAP and Savingholmes thanks for popping in and reading my thoughts. I am looking forward to the sewing festival and will try not to buy too much as I also have several projects waiting to get started. It will be hard though.

We did go to the gym last night and did two classes it was hard but really good to see DG getting stuck in. The instructor came over and said how much she has lost she was so impressed. We are going to spin tonight and that is it for this week my body ache lol.

We have just had the first meeting with the Danish buying agents with a full breakdown of what they can do and the cost. They are talking about a bridging loan which is expensive but might be needed if we want to buy before we sell. It is £2800 for the advise for 1 year for unlimited properties and then it is £845 for the legal purchase side of the property. They also negotiate on price and they take 10% of what they get in reduction as a success fee. I had not thought about needing to get a loan over there but it might be worth looking as they also work out monthly affordability etc. We would save £1400 if we do not need this part. The person we are speaking to later today is unlikely to offer all of the parts he might just do the negotiations and then the legal side but we shall see. Feels like it is really moving forward now and becoming real plus we got loads of good information today from the first company we both liked her.
