Morning only just got to my desk just could not get up this morning my body ache from the gym last night but I am glad I did go. DG is with her friend who has got court today a lot for her to take on but she is her bestie so she had to do the 2 hour drive last night. She is back today late and at least she gets to see them. They are coming down next Thurs for the ceremony so slightly annoying.
We need to pay for our rings on Sunday so need to start taking out the cash for the friend who made them. She sent us a video of them last night they are really nice and we are really just paying for the materials so we will each give her £50 extra as she has done such a good job.
The rings will actually be the most expensive part of the wedding as the clothes is now sorted the bar DG got does fit.
I need to send back one shirt that came yesterday and a shawl that was the wrong colour. The company does not want it back so it is just the shirt that is going back. I have already had the money for the shawl great service.
I did spend £2.50 on some raisin and oat cookies in M&S when i filled up with petrol after gym. They are so nice and dg does not like raisins. Lots of calories though.
Less meetings today and yesterday was good in the end as I got a work issue sorted by my very senior manager who totally got the issue and fixed it like I thought she would. She had delegated it to someone else and they just did not get it.
Anyway all sorted plenty to do today before a couple of meetings this afternoon.

Work is still mounting especially since I now know what I am doing at Weds meeting and that needs preparing. I have got a couple of meetings so it is all go as well.
I did make Spin so that was good 3 classes done this week which I am pleased about. Diet also ok although worse as DG was away she keeps me in check which is handy. Todays lunch is a bit of a treat, hm potato wedges, pulled BBQ chicken and sour cream. Leaving out the cheese to make it healthier and serve with side salad or my oddbox broccoli.
I did order another pink shawl from Amazon (thanks Savingsholmes) I can always send it back if it does not go and use the navy one I have.
I emailed a company that can move internationally incl pets they want to visit us next week and week after so I asked if it could be changed to March they have not yet come back so I will see or email them in March again. Just want to start getting prices to see if we should ditch more stuff.
Look forward to our meal tomorrow I might still drive back as I am not really in the mood for lots of drinking it wont be a late night any way and it would save taking a taxi. Might also be really busy as it is Valentines. Best jump on my first call.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Happy Valentines Day we are both so happy about going out tonight and dressing up for the wedding it feels like it is the start of that somehow although I have never understood the Americans obsession with rehearsal dinners !!!!!!. Our meal tonight will be far posher than our actual meal on Friday lol. The shawl arrived from the Big River site and guess what it is perfect!! I cannot believe it thank you so much SavingHolmes for the suggestion I am now sorted for clothes. It is a lovely quality so that is a plus too worth the extra money.
Got the cake topper for the Kranse Kage and it was broken but they are sending a new one which is great. It was only £6 but I do not think I should have to glue it. I have more or less sorted out my work trip and the final day finishes at 2.30pm so I wont get home too late hopefully on Weds and I can bake then.
We went to Lidl last night got the steaks we wanted for next Thursday night and also some champagne and cheaper fizz. Saw they have the free spins back with baked goods. Happy days but we will need to freeze them. Hope we win some bread soon I loved when they was the freebie best one ever. I will donate the ones we dont want to the foodbank in store.
I sold a old top on Vinted I have never worn was on at £8 but they offered £5 to grabbed that one less thing to have to move.
I have two meetings today and some work to catch up on so all is good and then log off for to get ready for tonight's night out.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hope the rehearsal dinner went well and sounds like everything is moving nicely to a great ceremony next weekDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... Where to start I am at my desk after a hectic few days and the amount of work that is due is a bit overwhelming to thought I would come here instead. Obviously puts work off a bit longer lol.
We had a fantastic time I got the cake baked on the Wednesday after I got back and then managed to put it together Thursday after the hairdresser. Our friends arrived and we got nails and lashes done no issues. Friday was a lovely love day really relaxed and with the people who have become our family over here. It was just perfect. The taxis worked really well no stress and the meal at the pub was great everyone enjoyed themselves. The bill came to £162 which seemed really cheap but we did have a tab. Back home we just sat and chatted and then had some cheese before the ones not staying the night went home at 9pm. We did not stay up that late either just shattered. The next morning the friends came back to collect their car and the others went home. We just chilled and went out for breakfast.
Sunday was golf and you guessed it DG played badly ( and it was bad) so is now off golf (yes back to that old chestnut.).
Here is a picture of the rings you can just about see the pink dress and my shawl. The Pandora bracelet has the charm I used to propose and the ring with the pearl was my grans.
I best get on with some work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Some non wedding updates:
We had a card through the door from someone who lives right behind us. They are really interested in the house they are expecting a baby. DG texted with them and turns out they can only offer £50k less than what our house was up for. We would save £5K on estate agent fees so not to dismiss it totally. They have now come back saying they can pay a bit more and could they view please. We are happy to and have said about the garden but they are still keen. Turns out the new neighbours who moved in Friday lived in the same road as this other couple and another couple has also moved into our road. The houses behind us a smaller so it makes sense as they all said how much they love the area. So once we get the wedding stuff tidied away we will let them view. Maybe give them a deadline to see if they can offer (and sell theirs) before we need to list. If we could avoid having to have it listed I would be pleased. The parking is even more of a nightmare now in the close so that is off putting even though we have 3 spaces on our drive.
I have had to raid £1500 of my ISA allowance as the credit card was just too high to take out of my wages. I had paid it down with the money DG gave me for the vet bill but there was clothes for the wedding on it and also the £840 MS hotel bill which I get back in June. I had already taken money out of my MoneyB@x simple saver and you can only take once a month so ISA it was. I am not going to be able to top my ISA up fully this year anyway so will put it back before April so nothing lost by it not being a flexible ISA.
I have my Danish tax webinar tomorrow at 7pm so I will miss my gym but I do need to start looking into all that again plus the business bit but makes sense to start with the Danish bit. We are going to Portugal week on Friday that has come around so quickly.
Oh and in final news DG got a speeding ticket in my car so she needs to sort that out.Save £12k in 25 No 49

The rings look great and glad you all had a relaxing fun time without stress
£50k is quite a jump down - hopefully you can come in between that
