Another Tuesday as I am waiting for my meeting to start I thought I would jump on here. I know we do not discus politics on here but can't feel excited about reading the news this morning with the changes in the US.
Actually got quite a bit done on the marketing plan last night. DG was really tired after some heavy work but I think she is more or less ready for the presentation on Friday. her cousin is on holiday so cannot redo the logo colours but we have got slogan now after playing with AI it is actually quite good AI for that sort of thing.
Today I have some meeting and I also need to go and get my insoles adjusted again. They do work just not for golf so well which is a shame but hopefully he can sort something out.
No spend yesterday did not even leave the house lol. Today I will posts the Vinted parcel and also go to the post office for DG. She is in the middle of a big case of the work she will stop doing once we move it is quite stressful so I cannot wait until she has done the cases and got the money. Then it is just smaller stuff and a lot less stressful.
Got my payslip it is costing me £34 more a month to get an extra weeks leave which is fine I am happy to have the extra leave. I have nothing due to pay this months credit card bill but already £1091 due to the vet bill and my golf clothes. It is nice to have nothing this month so I might still pay something so it is less next month. DG is paying half the vet bill.
My money box ISA pays 4.91% but dropping in April however the standard cash savings are dropping in Feb down to 3.5% so need to see if this is the best place for them. I do need ready cash as I do need some work done to the house to get it ready for sale. Yes I can do some of it myself but a few of the cracks we had done last year has now come back (not as bad). The front door side looks as bad as it did so need sprucing up and we also need the fences done. The cheap and very good guy I used last time is only just over a £100 a day and he does work hard. He can do the inside again plus fix some other paint chips but I might get him to do the outside painting as well like the fences as it is a big job and we do have the paint.
I also need to jet wash the patio and the drive which the pool guy is usually happy to do and that should then be it. I recon for £600 I can get it all done and it would take me weeks myself so it could be money well spent. Hopefully the house will then sell and we do not have to do anything else. I just know if we leave the cracks the buyers might worry and we certainly cannot leave the front door that is for sure. Question is when to start getting it done. I think I want to list in April at the latest Easter is late April which is when it is prime time for the Danes to put houses on the market.
I am also torn if I should use the same estate agent again. He did give me a discount on the fee as I had used him before and he is really good. If I use someone else then if someone who looked at ours wants to buy then I pay commision twice. I am hoping once 2 houses that have recently sold appear on Rightmove people can see how much they had gone up in the 5 years they had been owned and compare with ours (about £100K) as that would be ideal to be honest. I do not need to make a decision now but I am also eager to move things as far forward as I can.
Anyway enough waffle I have another meeting.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Oh no I have just made a major mess of Vinted. I sold an item on Friday which I did not get around to pack up and print the label for until today. I realised they are in my local town but still dropped it off at the InPost Lockers. Now I have just looked properly and I have sold two items and I have mixed them up although I have only sent one so far. I am hoping the other one will let me drop the item off at our house as I got her address via the Label and hopefully give me the dress back I posted in error. They were both £3 and it is the first time I have messed up how annoying.
Got my insoles tweaked if they now work I do not have to go back for 18 months so that is good. I am still not 100% sure they work for golf but lets try again.
So annoyed with myself for doing this just glad it was not an expensive item and hopefully the buyers are ok about it.
I am going to the gym later but have already eaten a bar to chocolate not something I have done since I went on this diet and that was before I realised I have swapped things the wrong way.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I've not been keeping up with the news but what on earth is exciting you in the American politics? I think we are going to struggle to keep away from it. Still probably good if you have a large house for sale in London.

Thanks Daisy and Badmemory yes it is all over the news so hard to ignore. I have just got a subscription to The Daily Telegraph as it was free the first month then 50p there after and I do like their money news. Reading about Trump he is obviously after EDI but they call it DEI which is fine but then in the Telegraph they also call it DEI what is that all about. I am the EDI lead at work and we have an EDI team so when did this change come in have I missed something? I tried googling and it seems to be as far back as 2015 so we are obviously way behind. Yes the rich people should benefit as always.
The Vinted buyer who's dress is on its way to the wrong buyer is ok about it and I had said I will cancel the order if I do not get it back so that is good. The other one I have not heard from but she does live very local so I have offered to drop the top off to her so she gets the right one but she has not responses. Hopefully she will see the message and I can take it up there. I have her address from the label but I do not want to turn up in case that puts her off. What a mess though and I could have may a whole £6.
I have a meeting at 10am which clashes with a webinar about pensions I really wanted to attend. Usually this person does not attend the meetings so if she doesn't I can still attend the pensions one.
I am due to go to Spin tonight DG cannot go but I think I will still go. I do need to tidy up the house and sort out the filters from when I took them out of the hottub. DG just does not see things like this but then again she is making good money from her stressful work and I am less busy so swings and roundabouts I guess. One of the houses DG really likes has been further reduced it is the one with no ensuite and poor energy report. It is now £147K for a 4 bed house but it does need a lot of work. Anyway I do not want to do that amount of work and also what if the perfect done up house comes on the market later this year and I could just pay any extra £150K and move in. Now that would be perfect.

Missed out on the pensions webinar yesterday as the meeting did go ahead but it was really good so I did not mind at all. More work for me but one of my projects are now moving forward which is great news. Some of the others are just ignoring me lol.
Did not go to the gym but did get to chill out last night with DG working until 7ish so that was late for her. She has nearly done the big piece so we can set off for the weekend tomorrow if the storms do not mess up our travel plans.
I am very happy to say that the persons whose Vinted order I messed up is coming to collect it today so that is one less things to worry about. I am not sure if she is collecting the other dress and brining that too or that will just come back to me. No idea how it works. Anyway I can still send the dress out if it comes back.
DG got her dresses yesterday and one is really lovely but just too small. She might lose the weight or she might not so we have order a similar style in the same colour one size up as the one she ordered is only up to 16. I also ordered a couple of shawls one to match her dress and one in a different colour. I have some silver shoes (I think) so can wear them and that should be me sorted for the Civil Ceremony.
Been paid which is great as I can do the money shuffle. I did take money out of the joint account yesterday so the only thing outstanding is DG owes me £400 for the vet bill. Yes we should have a pot for vet bills and will do in Denmark it is just she struggles to pay enough into the joint account as it is due to her irregular income so prefers it this way.
I best get some breakfast/Slimfast.

Morning our travels did get disrupted I think we will be about an hour late. Most annoying but cannot be helped.Looking forward to seeing my colleague and having a drink later as we’re breaking the dry January. We’ve not had a drink since 29/12 that’s nearly a month lol.I’m black and blu on my leg this morning as I fell over the fire pit putting chlorine in the hottub last night. Not nice.I’ve printed everything out for the MS but it’s the same as last time. I do need get more crammed in as we only have two days and we get there late today.Save £12k in 25 No 49
