May I ask a question too TG? I was wondering if you are going to carry on with your MFW diary once you move to Denmark?  I really hope you do as I enjoy reading it.  Good luck for the civil ceremony.  Why not just get the yarn kit, you will use it.

Thank you SeasideGirl I am chuffed you enjoyed reading it all it keeps me balanced being able to write about anything and everything on here and it is nice to look back on the year etc. My DG is not fluent in Danish and it is a really hard language to learn. She has been doing DuoLingo for 1 1/2 year now and is getting better but we will be getting her proper lessons once we move. They do all speak English but she really wants to be able to join in on conversation something my exDH never was interested in so never learnt.

Also thank you StopLurking for reading and commenting. I do plan to carry on if it is still on interest as all the money saving would be Danish obviously but I think I would miss it to much if I stopped. Also thank you for the encouragements I did order the yarn kit which was just as well as I am getting the first cardigan done really quickly.

Friday was great at the range even if the golf was not. We did have two hot chocolates as it was so cold and did top up our card with £100 as it gives us £25 extra which is 2 extra sessions so worth it. Saturday we chilled and then went to practise at our club and did swin and spa afterwards which was really nice. Sunday was the game of golf with our new friends and that was good too. The weather was cold but it is a small course so cheap to play £14 each and only had non alcoholic drinks before going home for lunch. We do fancy going to a Valentines dinner at the club on the actual 14th. We normally do not do anything as it is close to our anniversary and not very MSE. This dinner has live music and 3 course meal for £36. We know the food is good so we are going to book it. We have asked our new friends if they want to join us and they might. It would be nice for us as it is the week before our Civil Ceremony.

Tonight is sewing club so £5 to be spent but finishing the bag I started so not cost on that. I do need to order some hair products as I am out. DG has made a plan for the new business so that is really cool. The marketing course ends on the day we are doing the MS but we can work from the office of her employer and I can meet a colleague which is quite nice. Next weekend is the dinner in London and golf Sunday so will be really busy. We are trying not to book too much but it seems we are a bit. As per usual I need to do some work now.

Thank you TG, I think it will be interesting to hear what MSE things you can get up to in Denmark.  I’m glad you got the yarn kit, it is lovely.  I can’t knit to save myself.  Your plans sound lovely, esp the dinner and live music at the club.
    Have a good week.

I've been clearing a box of sentimental things and came across a danish/English dictionary we had in the bookshelf since I was a small girl.  I'm sure it's of no use to anyone tgese days but I shall continue to keep it for the memories.

Thank you Stoplurking I am so grateful you nudged me as it is back to full price today so glad I got it. I am sure I can do mse house renovations or decorating/upcycling over there. They have a DIY shop called Bauhaus it is exactly like B&Q even down to the colour scheme.

daisy_1571 that is something you don't see often anymore I think mine are in the loft and they did use to be well used together with the normal dictionary and thesaurus those were the days.

I got £17 back from our holiday booking with Tui from Quidco so converted that and ordered the knitting needles I need, some hooks I need for this project and a lovely fabric roll to keep all my knitting stuff together. £6 spent would have been £32 otherwise but something I will use so that is not adding more clutter and I resisted buying a kits with more knitting stuff but went for better quality instead and just what I needed.

yes  I think ours were used translating letters and also maybe a silver trophy type cup that had a big long engraving.  In fact, I must ask mum what happened to that as I've not seen it for years.  Maybe they got rid of it as noone knew whose it was or how we ended up with it rather than it staying in Denmark with that part of the family.

Interesting daisy_1571 do let me know if you ever find out. Google sure has replaced a lot of reference books today.

Just a quick check in before a meeting. Woken up by my Amazon delivery it was my knitting needles and the fabric roll to keep them in. I love both items they are so well made and nice I am glad I got them and as they were offset by Quidco happy days.

Got a few meetings today and some emails to do but not too bad and we can head off to the gym sessions later. Sewing club was good and I progressed with my bag so that was great too.

Yesterday was spendy £27 on hair products, £6 on Amazon and £5 sewing club. Today should be a NSD.

Also VIrgin has turned down our complaint I cannot be asked to take it any further it is just crap service and I will keep plugging at it until we move.

Met the new neighbours at the weekend. Mum and dad two daughters so at least not as many if any footballs flying into our garden now. Also my fear of them having 5 cars did not happen even if the oldest might start to drive soon they at least have 3 spaces in their drive.

having a new neighbour with 2 boys you are lucky there!  Had to have a roofer repair the damage one football did, the balls are forever in the garden - and as an idea of distance there is a road between us, a country road, but still a road LOL and the noise two boys can make is insane LOL  They are very nice tho so no complaints but girls would be better :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks for sharing that Watty that is quite some way those balls can go. Next door had 3 boys from aged 15 to 8 so football mad so was dad. We have a field next door but they always had to play in the garden. Badmemory I had not thought of that at all hope yours are not too bad. We shall see they have not moved in yet so no way of knowing.

I did go to the gym last night even after DG bailed on me so that was good. I am not going tonight as I am at a late work meeting. Had we been in pre Covid times I would have been driving 3 hours to get to the meeting and back so I am glad I do not have to do that.

I have decided not to unpick my cardigan and continue with it as it is. It is a bit shorted than I would prefer and now I know I can make the second one longer. If it is not great I can alway unpick as it was an expensive kit even with the discount and it does not take long to knit to be honest.

DG is going to see her friends at the end of the month to buy her outfit for the Civil Ceremony. She never buys clothes for herself but it is so lovely she is considering things and looking at stuff after losing 2 stone on the mujaro. She had hoped to lose more and be closer to 3 stone lost. She is getting some side effects now but not so bad that she cannot be on it. This is on the 7.5ml is anyone is on the same.

Today I only have 4 meetings so I am looking forward to catching up with work stuff that has been behind since Christmas.

First I need some breakfast no idea why I am so hungry.
