Thanks Savingholmes it is amazing how much you can make in a large slow cooker.

Had a lovely day yesterday did the golf lesson and both just felt like it was a reset on our game. £80 well spent and we brought our own drinks so did not need to stop on the way. Then we went to a large indoor driving range that costs £30 for 1 hour but it is just the best. It also has a large golf shop which happened to have a sale on. £84 spent on 3 golf tops and some balls. The tops were really reduced and so lovely I did also need some as when I went through my golf gear it is very old (some over 10 years old) plus I did not have many long sleeved tops. We did get a Costa but I could use my freebie so only paid for coke for DG and a small shared cake.

Had dinner at home were quite hungry by this stage but quick to do so no biggie. In the "old days" we would have had a McD breakfast poss shared some lunch before the lesson and then had dinner so money and dietwise this was much better.

My knitting project has gone a bit stray I might start it again. I am struggling to increase by one in reverse without creating a big hole so might need to undo what I have done and start again. I would rather get it right as it is quite an expensive kit.

Did phone my mum to show her what we bought for her present and she loved all the tops. She actually wanted one the same as mine so ordered it online but its XL so I might get that one she can have mine.

I have a meeting at 10am today so best prep for that.

Ripped my knitting up again it just was not going right will start again.

Done the return for the faulty LTS top this is the second one I am sending back the joys at least it is free.

I have also put my new clothes away and thrown another top out not quite one in one out but it is a start.

Had a reply from the estate agent about house 3 and the cost of heating is half of what is stated in the particular for 23/24 so not sure why it was so much the year before. The Alrum/dinning room and kitchen is heating by electric underfloor heating which is also why the electric is expensive. You could add a wood burner in the Alrum/dinning room to get an alternative heating source my sister can more or less get free wood as she lives opportise a forrest and can chop things herself.

The house was listed too expensively from the previous agent hence the drop in price. DG is keen to send my sister to see it I do not know why I am not more keen I think it is the lack of ensuite. Here is the layout if you want a nose. I think we could put an ensuite in the main bedroom as long as it does not block out the view. The sloping roof is not an issue for DG who is 5.2 I am 6.2 lol.

We would change the lounge (Stue) into 2 to make an office would mean making the main window on the right into two but it has to be changed anyway so would not add a lot of costs plus some stud walls.

Disaster in the TG household as the internet went down last night and we do not have an engineer coming until tomorrow which is not great when we both work from home. DG almost had a meltdown but we can both use our mobile data (using my work phone).

As we could not watch telly last night we did go to Lidl and I got my free veg and spent my £10 spin win. I got some posh nuts, a sewing storage box and some smoked ham which is finally back in stock.

Diet still going well and yes I am back in the gym tonight I do write it on here so if I do not go I have to be accountable. As we have no telly might as well go to the gym tonight.

I have another two meetings today and 3 tomorrow so we will see how it goes at least I can still post on here and use my phone.

Virgin is coming out soon but it has not been too bad using the works phone but glad when it is sorted. We did go to the gym and stayed in spa afterwards as there was no telly to watch. Spin tonight which is only 40min so should not be too hard. My knitting is progressing too actually nice to get time away from the screen.

Diet still good and the cat with the hurt tail is feeling better but has stopped jumping onto the bed from the window which was how he hurt himself. Kind of sad but also quite wise in a way,he is 10 now and .

Engineer came internet is back on it was in the box in the street not inside we might even get some compensation. Nice to be back properly online lol.

Managed to book more of the curry with some of the sauce from the last batch. It is now less hot so that is a good plus more for the freezer. Look forward to having it at lunch too.

I did earn £3.58 cashback with Airtimes for the AmGolf stuff I bought so that was a nice surprise. I did get offered the free sewing course I had booked on (I was not entitled as I had already done one this term) but I said no as I would have missed two session out of 6 so not worth it. I will go to my local sewing one instead plus I have my knitting. Speaking of knitting I did spend £4 on a knitting counter that has just arrived but no other planned spends this week other than Sunday we are playing golf with friends £14 for 18 holes so a bargain and there will be drinks and food I am guessing.

My work day is not too hectic but I do have some work to do and a few meetings which are now easier as the internet is back.

Morning all lovely bright and sunny here but also very cold. DG has gone to get cash for the cleaner and the car is frozen solid. No spends yesterday at all and diet was also ok apart from the small snickers I found in my pocket and the yoghurt with fruit I had after gym.

I met with my manager yesterday she only works 3 days so I am mostly left to my own devices which is fine. My projects are all ok and I have bee nasked to do a piece of work I have just found out will start in Nov 25 and finish in Feb 26. Well guess what I will be living in Denmark then so that will be interesting if they keep me on as a consultant for that work. We shall see.

Did a bit of a money shuffle yesterday as I did not quite have enough in my main current account as there is now £100 going out a week plus from there instead of the £500 at payday. I am trying not to spend for joint things on the credit card but there is train tickets on there and the stuff  I spent on the golf clothes. Incidentally that tracked on Airtime at £3.50 so happy with that. I also had a look at the annual Sainsbo email what is your top spends and mine was very predictable as we only by three things in there. The email did also give me 250 points so worth checking if you get one.

Going to make my slimfast now and then get on with more work.

    To do for January:
Get cracked window fixed - got someone coming to quote and someone sending me a quote
    Book lunch for Civil Ceremony
    Write wows

Morning I am loving this frosty sunshine that is how winters used to be at home rather than warmer and wet.

No spend yesterday I was going to buy fabric and bits for the sewing class on Monday but the item we are making I do not really want so I think I will just turn up and finish the bag I did start last year. It makes more sense and obviously free apart from the £5 fee for the hall hire. I can also use my new Lidl carry bag to take the bits I need rather than drag my whole kit with me.

Still to meet our new neighbours they seem to come a go but have not actually moved in. Looks like an middle aged couple maybe with some grown up kids I am not sure. I have not seen any small kids so the days of footballs coming across should be over.

Friday I am so glad you are finally here been a long week. Got a couple of meetings today and some work that has to go out but all in all good and not a lot of plans at the weekend other than golf.

    Very busy in TG land

I love new tops (a reminder most my T-shirts falling apart )

the floor plan looks great and I can see how you can split Stue into 2
if the en-suite is so important to you then I guess you need to check the logistics out first

seems to me like no internet so no tv means you both healthier and happier ! All the extra gym spa etc
I actually don’t have a tv - I can’t imagine how much time I would spend watching it if I did have one
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP yes quite busy but I do like a bit of telly in the evenings after work/gym. Tonight we are going to a local driving range much better than TV and drinking lol although we do want a dip in the hottub at some point. Might as well use it as we have it.

I am glad you can see the local in the floor plan I have kind of gone off the idea of doing lots of work so waiting for more properties to come on. I have 3 or 4 roads/areas I am super interested in so if anything comes up there I will look again but for now nothing is of real interest.

Our new neighbours still have not moved in I am trying not to be nosy and look out all the time but it is hard. I really hope they have cats so we can offer to cat sit lol. We need a new cat sitter.

I did get offered another mystery shop hotel break but it was 3 hours away in an area we have no real interest in visiting. I am also going there with work next month. It was a good deal as they paid 75% of the stay but said no.

No spend so far but the yarn kit I am using is further reduced and I so want to order another set in another colour or this one which is so pretty. I know I know I already have one started but the yarn is so pretty.

Almost end of the day cannot wait to finish as most of my work is done. DG has been working on our marketing plan for the business so that is really exciting indeed.
