Thanks Savinghomes and LWAP we are really pleased with the rings made the day extra special and lovely to wear them now. House still a mess but we have both felt so tired. DG is still feeling sick due to the jabs hopefully that goes away today day 2.
I cannot believe we are going to Portugal on Friday week that is so soon!!. We have offered the house viewing for this Thurs or the weekend. The garden is a mess but they would have seen it no doubt and also all the cracks are back but hopefully they won't notice that. I might try to patch up the front door bit that is the only thing that looks really awful. We need to put a lot of stuff up in the loft too I am starting to hate this house as there just is no where to put things. I do want to do a massive declutter but just no time really.
Gym tonight but only able to do 1 session due to the tax webinar so debating to cancel it all together just so get some time back. If they come to view on Thurs that is much needed. With regards to the £50K they did come back and said they have found some more money so we shall see. They will need to sell (we presume) but that size sells super quick (same as our neighbours who have just sold). I would like them to view and then rule it in or out really for both parties. If it is a no great we can carry on with our plan to list in April if it is a yes we can give them a set time to get theirs sold or ours will have to go on the market.
I am still behind with work but hopefully catch up soon. I have managed to move a meeting today so that is helpful.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Just a quick update we offered them to view at the weekend or this Thursday (the cleaner and lawnman will have been). They chose thursday so at least we will know. DG is now saying she thinks we should accept £470K as that is only £30K less. I would like £485 as that would mean most of the renovation costs are covered and we did a lot such as plumbing, boiler, rewire, new kitchen etc. Obviously we can drop to £480 as the estate agents fees would not come into play. Also knowing we have a buyer is worth a lot in terms of planning our move and in terms of planning dates etc.
I have cancelled gym but will go Weds instead.

Webinar was really useful I now understand a lot more about tax and it has cemented we need to get more advice. First port of call is the association and then I will need to get a quote to get advice and I think they can do all of what I need in one place. Anyway there are so many taxes in Denmark but it is starting to make sense and lots to think about before we move so all good. Need to pen that email soon to them to get the ball rolling unfortunately it has to be in Danish so that will be harder but might as well learn the lingo the 24 year old TallGirl never used before she left lol. May I should do one of the social media thingy's where you meet your younger self! My god that would be interesting to reflect on.
Managed to crack on with some work so that part feel better. We have a kick off meeting for the restructure/savings target thing on Thursday so that will be interesting I am hearing things will drag on beyond July so that is a bit annoying.
I watched sort your life out last night it really makes you want to tidy up and get rid of stuff. I wish I could take our entire loft into a warehouse and sort it but for now I might have to resort to just take bits down and get rid. I might buy some decent xmas decs boxes as we have so much stuff and we are both not giving anything up as it is nice stuff but packing it better would help. Anyone got any good boxes or suggestions we have tried to bags for the xmas tree it was a bit big so did not really work for a small tree.
Finally the money from my ISA has hit my account so that is looking a lot better. We have money in the joint fund for Portugal and then I will see how much cash I move back in as I would rather not pay any tax on savings. I might even stick some more in my new S&S as the rates drops

Well after I said we would not look at any houses until we know where we are with ours my favorite estate agent had to email me with a house of course. We have not seen the pictures as it is not officially on the market but is smaller than the massive modern one we liked but has a much better layout. It is from 2011 and has 4 bedrooms including a master suite with walk in closet and ensuite (full bathroom actually). Its also got a pantry and a covered patio. It is £42K cheaper with a bigger plot but because the house is smaller its much nicer. It has a green house and the only thing we would need to do would be was to add more plugs to the room that would be the office and some lighting for over the desks. I think it is slightly overpriced at £288K but if they dropped it to £275K and we could get ours sold that could be the perfect match.
We shall see tonight how it goes with those people who are interested in ours I have got it all tidy and actually thrown some stuff out. Not quite decluttering lol.
Sent off the questions to the Danish Association will be good to move that bit forward too.
Went to Lidl so we could get the last bakery spin so we have a week to pick those up. I have got 3 meetings today so more work awaits me obviously.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Great news re the webinar - my friend is moving from UK to Copenhagen in April - could you maybe dm the webinar company so I can pass it on to them if he wants to do further research
Sounds exciting re the house and the new one .. you may be moving quicker than you thought and no EA would be a blessing. Plus can I assume you will have no mortgage and some extra savings when you move? That will really free life up
I also quite fancy a warehouse to go through all my stuff - pulling things out a few items at a time dont really cut it - I also dont have the time though so I am doing the minimalism game at least when I remember
I am getting to the point also where I am seeing too much stuff around me.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP, I am glad I am not the only one struggling with the decluttering. I just hate it when there is no where to put anything and it just ends up being rammed somewhere. Our friend who came to the ceremony actually added loads to this feeling as the brought a huge bags of lots of bits (from a charity shop) all wedding related activities we did not get a chance to do. Really sweet of her but OMG I just want to give it back to her so she can use it for her daughters wedding. I did manage to give her the lovely gift boxes back lol.
The association is this one they do regular webinars but it was all in Danish so do not think it will be helpful for him. They do have a lot of information in English but all tailored at Danies returning home. This is the best official website to get information do not think it is in English. There is also this one but more focussed on immigration (sorry it is a crap site but best they have got). I assume he has a Danish connection so hopefully they can help him. Everything is electronic over there but the tax is a lot to get your head around. No one moves there so save tax.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Well things are moving along nicely I sold a bag I have never used on Vinted for £10 so nice to see that leave the house today.
The couple came along last night and stayed for an hour. They were really lovely. The live in a 2 bed terrace with a garage a walk away. They have 3 vehicles and are expecting a girl as well as have a 4 year old who is autistic. They have lived there 10 years (so I am thinking bought cheap and paid down their mortgage nicely). They are interested n the furniture (handy for us) and the hottub. They asked about a private sale which we are happy with. They were not faced by the garden they live next to the field as well but it is much narrower up their end but they have often walked past ours obviously. They have been friends for 8 years with the people who has moved in next door to us. She is due end of July and their being a 2 bed and one of the cheaper styles of houses in the area it should sell super quick. They are going to think about it over the weekend and let us know Monday but they both loved the house just like we did. I am already thinking about what I would accept and how nice it would be not to have viewings again and save the £4.5K on estate agents fees.
I have emailed the Danish estate agent he came back straight away yes we can view so need to persuade my sister I know my mum is fully onboard she spent an hour looking at it last night. Estate agent says its move in ready and has lots of nice features I am popping a floorplan in Vikt. Rum is the pantry what a dream to have one of those. Skur is a proper solid shed which is to the side of the carport which is only open on one side (that is why there is a door into to from the garden. Anyway best get on with some work.

Thanks Daisy and QueenJess yes we are official now as in Civil Partnership which we can then change to a marriage in Denmark when we have moved.
We still love the rings and the house is more or less back to normal from last weeks party. I did declutter majorly yesterday which felt so good. I have 8 Ikea boxes above my desk of shelves mainly with toiletries for travel so they go a major declutter and I also packed my washbag. I threw out a load of rubbish and then moved on to moving my sewing accessories into a new caddy I bought. I then realised DG had bought me another one which I managed to fill with cotton so now it is much more organised and fits in the space it should incl the knitting which has freed another unit.
Dishwasher is not happy because I put some old shampoo bottles in there. So annoying so off to fix that.Save £12k in 25 No 49
