Thanks SuzieSue, Daisy and Savingholmes I am so chuffed I am assuming everything is still there but at least I will know later. I have reached out to an old colleague she is not that well but she might come over and meet me as she lives really close to where I am collecting it.

Busy day today workwise but I am getting the train at 1.30 so actually only 1/2. Work said they would pay for the train so it is not costing me anything other than perhaps food and drink on the way but I will bring some too.

Did have a McD last night totally blame DG that is two days in a row although Sunday I only had a small icecream. Needs to stop or I will not fit into anything at least I am getting some clothes back today that fits me in that suitcase. Much needed I tell you.

Tried to check in for all our flights yesterday but you can only book in the day before with Ryanair without having to pay shows how often I fly with them. EasyJet is done but Airlingus is 48 hours before although my mum is checked in with special assistance she gets a seat up the front so I am sure she will be happy.

The posh Sodastream was going all weekend with the lovely sunshine and the 7up sirup is so close to the real thing DG is happy. It cost £5.50 to make 9 litres so that is roughly the same as when it is on special in the 2litre bottles. DG will save loads as she can now avoid buying the small bottles at £2.30 in our local BP. I can also now update the to do list as quite a bit of the maintenance has been done now thanks to paying for it.

    - Paint the front door surround - done but did not do a great job could do with a silicone seal and some tidy up but much better.
    - Order hot tub cover cleaner
    - Get cleaner for hot tub cover and clean cover - looking in the hot tub shop it is the same you use to restore vinyl in a car so wanted to check if cheaper online.
    - Change water in hottub order pink stuff. - Got pink stuff so can be done still needs doing planning to do it tomorrow.
    - Book trains in Ireland and bus to airport - not DONE but decided not to as just get on when we get there. Might still book bus going back
Change my address and marital status on DK site
    - Research tax on ISA and Pension in DK
    - Await compensation from RL - need to chase this
    - Paint all wood in back garden DONE
    - Paint the 3 new fence panels - paint sprayer arriving today. - DONE only need to do 2 at the back
    - Paint raised beds looking tired DONE
    - Sort will out to include civil partnership
    - Book reading for Civil Partnership
    - Start process of registering business premises in my name
    - Check my mum into flight from UK to DK half DONE
    - Move savings from Santa to Monzo 20th May rate drops to 4.2 and Monzo is 4.1 so might as well keep it together.
    - Set up new Santa regular saver £200p/m to pay off 0% credit card at end of period.
    - Book  round of golf at C 2nd June

Morning it was really painless going to get my bag. My friend could not meet me so I arrived at Waterloo just after 3pm went straight to Marylebone (finally able to spell it) and back on the train from Waterloo just after 4pm. Did not even by a drink but home just before 6pm.

I had an email from Moneybox who I now have my cash ISA with that has unlocked a savings account that pays 5% (1% BONUS) and you can make 1 withdrawal a month. That makes more sense than moving it to Monzo and I can just set up a SO for £200 a month to go over.

I did spend £5 yesterday as I got an email from Graze offering me their second monthly box for £5 instead of £15. I had the 1st one at £10 and it would not worth it but thought hey for £5 it might be worth it. I will cancel as soon as I get it as no way am I paying £15.

Our friend has asked if we would like to go to another cockerpoo cafe with her. I mean it was fun but the whole day incl trains were £200 (drinks food etc) so I would rather spend that kind of money on something else as we have already done it once. Now we just need to let her down gently which is the hard bit.

Joint finances are not doing well so we will have to pay for food and drinks out of our own funds for Ireland which is fine. I get paid on Thursday so just over a week but I have savings I can dip into if needed. The painter did rather clear me out having to fork out £550 on him but well worth it as all that work is off our to do list.

Right back to work I have 5 long meetings today one does not finish until 6pm. Hoping to empty and refill the hottub tonight but DG is getting her hair done so I am not sure she will be back. It does need doing as it is rank and we turned the temperature down as well.

Taken everything out of the big car that is going to have its MOT and service done today (paid for monthly). Also managed to make the bed in the 2nd bedroom ready for my mum coming next Friday.

Did not get the hot tub done last night it will have to be tonight. Cancelled gym as need to take the car to MOT so do not have time. DG is also putting on weight so hope she will be more motivated when we come back from Ireland.

We really do need to start getting sorted for the civil ceremony in September. There is not a lot to do but clothes being one of the major issues obviously.

Morning got the hottub done and refilled it is heating up at the moment. I have order the treatment for the cover it was much needed I should have done it earlier as it is starting to crumble which is not good. Also got a new nozzle for the hose that was £20 out of joint account.

I have moved some money out of Santander and set up a new account with MoneyBox ready for first collection 22nd May. I could not move everything over so will do the rest tomorrow. Set it up to save £25 a month but hopefully more as I think our pay increase is about to be agreed and back dated so that will help a bit. Just had an email confirming the account and it says it is powered by Santander quite ironic really.

I did a really interesting masterclass yesterday about mentoring and inspired about this I did my first post on LinkedIn. I have wanted to post on there for a while so hopefully this is the start.

Got the rest of the garden furniture out and the garden does look really nice. The front looks like a proper cottage garden I am pleased I paid that gardener to sort it out for me. You can see the different in how she has placed things and the alliums she suggested are lovely. Never had them before but will do again.

Right need to have some breakfast then crack on my last day before leave and lots to do as usualy.

List is looking a lot better.

So so sad a friend of mine has been battling cancer for 1 year now, her husband did our extension and he has just posted that it is nearing the end now.

I did not know it was this close so that has really floored me. She is 6 months older than me worked right up to her illness in the police force. Such a lovely person we are both so so sad. It really just goes to show you never know what is around the corner and I am actually more than ever determined to retire early and enjoy life in the moment.

Car passed MOT we are collecting it this lunchtime. Meetings all afternoon but hopefully play some golf after work it looks so lovely outside.

Oh so sorry to hear that TG.  It is so scary.  Her poor husband.   Yes, we need to appreciate each day we have.  No-one knows what is around the corner.
