Thanks for popping in LWAP yes everything was in my case so I was so happy and very lucky as totting it all up was scary had I lost it. I rush too much that is the problem. The posh soda stream is really great already had to up the Co2 subscription as she uses it so much. Has saved her several times from going to the small shop to get a fizzy drink and then having to spend min £3 to use her card and ending up with chocolate for me too. Hope your friend is ok sounds really scary that it is now moving to next step. Live is for living.

Funnily enough the cousin has just been in touch asking when he can come down next and if we would like him to cat sit. I have asked him down the weekend we are dog sitting as it would actually be really helpful to have an extra pair of hand so we do not have to walk them all together. I have also asked him to cat sit when we go to Morocco he will definitely not drink the pool bar dry and is very quiet so won't annoy anyone. Also saves us paying the cleaner or asking the neighbours plus it is better for the cats as he is a real cat person.

Did not make gym yesterday or this morning but diet going well even though we went to Lidl to get our freebies and DG bought 2 brownies. I only had half of mine. I do love the Lidl app we got 2 cereal products and fresh raspberries. We still have 2 red grapefruits to collect and some grapes. I love the spin the wheel.

I should be able to catch up with work today which will be great. I am actually going on site for a visit in July and thinking of going on the Sunday. My work will most likely not pay for the hotel but it is only £37 so would actually be worth it as we still need to nights to get to the next 10 on Hotels.com. They are changing the way it is calculated so be good to get it in before then.

Raining here but should clear up later just about to put a wash on. I do love when things can dry outside and you don't have to rush around if it rains. Although rain is good for the garden.

Had a little moment of day dreaming as my mum suggested a golf club in Denmark we might like to join so house search could be in a slightly different area. Came across this one (sorry removed in case we can buy it) which almost backs onto the golf course.

I know we cannot buy until we live there and we need to rent first but it is nice to dream. It would be £341 in UK money which is less than this house. I sent it to my mum got back it is lovely but it is so large the garden will need lots of looking after plus the bills will be so high etc etc. Well I am only 53 so I it is slightly different than if I was looking to move in my 70's like my mum did. Anyway I am going to ignore her and keep the dream that house would so work for our needs.

That is a beautiful house.  The only thing I would say is that I do not like kitchen diners which are laid out like that as you have to keep walking round to get to the table.

Yes, the garden would be too big for me, but I do not like gardening.  It would be perfect for you especially as you can now just have a robot lawnmower if the mowing ever gets too much for you.

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Love the house, so much so I'd think of moving there!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thank you SuzieSue, Daisy, LWAP and Watty it is lovely and I appreciate your comem all my mum found this one   it is £170 so exactly half price but I think when you look you can see it is not as wow and it certainly needs a second bathroom plus open up that kitchen. I told her something in between would be better but right not that £340K would be my favorite. I know we cannot even begin to think about buying but there really are so many and from that sort of age 2005 onwards all seems to be in the right style in terms of room sizes, walk in wardrobes, ensuites and of course open plan which Denmark was a forerunner for.

I also sent it to my sister her and my niece has just driven past it and send pictures and a video of the golf course. I spoke to them just now and they were telling me about the town. It has a lot it will be where my niece will start her A levels in Aug for the next 3 years so she was very keen. It also has a Lido so we do not need a pool ourselves my sister said. Well try telling that to DG lol. I also told my sister we are moving things forward due to losing our friend and my work doing a lot of cuts. I know we cannot buy that house now but still fun to look.

Got my £200 compensation finally very happy about that. Also got my expenses paid £46 which helps as I now have enough in the main account to pay my bills on the 1st and then the PB money will go in. There is also some more money to come in so will see how it looks but want to put most of it back into the new MoneyBox savings account in readiness for paying off the 0% credit card.

We also went to Lidl to spend the last £5 to get free ice cream lollies (aka magnum look a like) and collect some more fruit (apple, grapes and a pineapple). I have now got a red grapefruit and 4 lemons to collect not sure if DG got anything else as she did collect two free fruits yesterday.

I think that is it have a lovely Friday.

Thanks Daisy it certainly makes you think the larger one is over priced. Looks like it’s for sale at the same price they bought it for in 2008 and I suspect they built it. We keep talking about it as it is just has everything we want.

Played nine holes last night I played rubbish but dg was good so all calm. Did not stop for a drink but went to Lidls and got my free lemons and early night. Just about to get up as I do not want to rush around at the club.

Free round of golf with friends tomorrow just have to pay for buggies and no doubt food and drink.

Morning that weekend just went far too quickly . Played golf Saturday in the competition not great but good company and DG played in the different group and enjoyed it so that was good. Sunday we played the free round so only cost was £25 for a buggy friends paid for drinks afterwards. We were then both hungry and went to get a fast food kebab it really was not nice so that will now be the last time we go to that place. Not cheap either. I did not eat all of mine so do not feel too bad.

It was nice talking to friends over the weekend about how our plans have moved forward to 2025 and it feels like it is all coming together although there is also a lot on the to do list. DG is busy with work so I know a lot of it will be down to me but I also have a busy week with a site visit locally on Wednesday, the funeral on Thursday and going for lunch with a friend Friday so I will have to take 1/2 day off as well.

We continue to enjoy the freebies at Lidl strawberries picked up Saturday and still have grapes and a grapefruit to pick up. I must do something with all the fruit but easy to freeze and use in smoothies. I am going to try and stick to the diet this week but things have not started well with not wanting to go to the gym at 9.30 to do 2 classes. I am trying to motivate myself to do the balance class but still not sure. There is also the sewing club tonight which I really wanted to go to. I do have a skit that I cut out that is too small but it would be good practise to sew it up and maybe my niece or sister could use it. I could then make something next for myself as I have some lovely fabric I just need to get over the hurdle of actually doing it. Going tonight would force me and I know I would enjoy it.

Saying that I do have an awful lot of work I need to crack on with lol.

I also want to message the estate agent with the gorgeous house and see if he knows how soon I would be able to buy moving back to DK. I kind of feel it would nice to know even if I also know we should rent first and then see where to buy. My friend said yesterday we could always rent her mums mobile home locally if we ended up selling too soon. Well that could be an option and it was sweet of her to offer as we could certainly work from home there and take the kitties.

Anyway best crack on with some work. Happy Monday everyone.

    Just to keep track:
0% credit card balance £5265 paying min amount each month
Savings set aside at 5% balance £3026 adding £35 a week to this amount.

Joint account has been reloaded and my accounts are ok I do not think I will actually need much of the £1850 I took out of my PB but it can sit in the savings in the meantime. Would be nice if there was a win tomorrow you never know  :D:)
