Thanks Watty that is an option but after moving 6 times between us in 4 years it would something I would not take on lightly. Yes it could work give us as long as we need to sell. We do also have 2 cats so rental might be difficult but not having to fix things is definitely a joy although as guardians we never got anything fixed. One time the company did not pay the gas bill so we got cut off. I do not miss that hassle even if it was fun at the time. I have never rented normally with a proper landlord lol. We would be renting in Denmark so that bit would be easy to coordinate as it is not difficult to get rental over there. We could also stay with my sister briefly.
Ordered some slimfast from Superdrug yesterday (from joint account) as it is cheaper in bigger tubs. I could not get DGs reward card to work so got my own account so get the discount. They sent me 15% off this morning as a new customer so I have now ordered £23 worth of hair stuff I really needed. Now we go to the pool more it is easier to have two sets of full size bottles rather then fill up travel sizes to go to the pool.
Sticking with spending I needed face cream so looked at Boots I have £10 worth of points but it is £47 on there. Online where I got it before it is £31 but you do pay £5 postage. Ordered 2 so £61 in postage versus £94 even with the £10 off and points earned it is not worth it. That is it though no more spending but it was payday yesterday and the credit card is set to be cleared out of last months wages so starting the month afresh.
Did combat last night and then straight into aqua it was so much fun and really enjoyed it so that is now a firm favorite for Tuesdays. Tonight I am going to do 30 min gym before my pump class as the one I had signed up to on Monday was cancelled. Finding it a bit of an adjustment having to do all the classes in 1 gym but if we can work out back to back classes I shall be back on track. It is hard to have two weeks off!!
My cash ISA is now up and running it has only got £6020 in it and I am not planning on adding any more but it just a general investment fund before so I had to change it so save tax.
Also got my next knitting project delivered looks like I need 7mm knitting needles. I do knit quite loosely so I am going to try my 6mm saves a few pennies and might work.

Lots of action over here
I can understand not wanting to move and rent.Plus my feeling is the housing market feels a bit stuck at present especially with rates just having gone up for lots of banks
The handyman sounds great and v usefulDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thank you LWAP handyman is great we have agreed to a 2/5 start for 5 days for £550 incl materials I will pay for 1 extra day if needed. Feels such a relief having it all booked in and getting the place looking nice again after having the paint peeling off the front door for two years lol.
No more spending either today and I am getting lots of work done before I meet with my manager which is really good. I am actually going to need some more work soon as I am running out of things to do would you believe.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning messed up gym last night went an hour early so ended up doing spin instead of Pump it was fine but my watch died so no idea of the stats which was a shame. I could not face doing two back to back as I did go in the gym first. I am down to do a core class this morning at 11am but I do have a 10am meeting which might take the whole hour. Shame but cannot be helped.
I did speak to my manager about more work yesterday but there isn't actually any right now which is fine by me as I have other things I can do. Quite nice they still trust me to do work lol my old team would never have done that.
Just realised this morning that in the missing suitcase is my little kindle as well which was a present from DG. She will be well !!!!!! off that it is gone but fingers crossed I hear soon about the case obviously if no one has taken it from the train. Would be so nice to get it all back for sure.
Training later today and also catch up with the lady I met on the course back in December. I have been doing a 12 week programme to keep track of my goals and I update it every week. Looked at it last week and I am actually getting there with most of the things I just need to update this week and then from May I need a new one. It works so much better.
I do need to make a decision on DGs birthday present. I usually pay for her gym membership so something else boring like that. She gets me experiences which is always really nice. There is nothing I need to pay for her this year so I was thinking buying tickets for a drag show as we both want to go. It is about £45 for a local one with drink and food. There are specific ones we really want to see but I cannot see any of them anywhere near local or even London but there is one for next year what I know she will like but that is a bit too long to wait. On top of that I want to get one of these as she prefer fizzy drinks and she loves gadgets. I know it is just a sodastream but it does look cool and would sit nicely along the matching coffee machine which she paid 1/2 off eventhough she does not drink coffee. You also have to sign up for the cartridges which works out about £8 a month but the amount of soda she buys and also soft drink so I am thinking it would be worth a go. We also love making cocktails so it could work for that as you can make anything sparkling even wine etc. By the way she does not like any hot drinks.
Right best get back to work now.

I have ordered the posh "soda stream" and set up the CO2 subscription. I could not work out how to get a freebie added so I asked live chat and I got one or maybe two added.
I still need to get her a card and I might still buy the tickets for the drag show but we have so much going on I am actually not sure I will. Would also save money which is not a bad thing when I am paying for all the work that is being done by the handyman as the joint account is too skint.
I got a reply back from RL with a very complex answer to the pension query and moving to Denmark. They had closed the question as they thought it was a duplicate. They also apologised for not giving the payment details and they will pay me £150 compensation which I am very happy with. That is a nice sum for having to make 3 calls and I now know more about pensions.
We also went to Lidl to get the free bread on DGs account and the 1/2 price yoghurt and free biscuits on mine. I still need to spend £10 to get the next one so that will most likely be it for this month. I does work for us to do both cards rather than just one and try to get to the 10% off.
Going to the club soon as they have a charity event so will buy some cakes, donate to the raffle buy raffle tickets and see if our trolleys are finally in. Now that would be nice. Golf game later and swim/spa. So glad it is Friday at last. Hope you have a nice day

Thanks SavingHolmes
Back from the club it was so busy but lovely seeing everyone and got some nice stuff in the end.
£5 on drinks
£21 cash spent in total on:
Raffle tickets won nothing on the first £5 and then on the second lot £5 we won a £16 bottle of French sparkling rose a sleeve of golf balls and shooting balm for tired muscles.
Bought 5 slices of hm cake (£2), £1 on a pop up chipping net, 1 sleeve of balls from £3 spent on a chipping contest DG won I was useless. Not a bad little haul and supported the charity. The enquire about the trolleys but no news as of yet.
Will go back tomorrow for the big opening at 11am the parking is a nightmare though.
DG has asked one of the ladies to make her favorite brownie for her birthday with delivery on her actual birthday. She said yes so that is also really nice for her birthday weekend.
Also just spent £20 on Tem* on two sets of headcovers to match the new bags could not get pink for DG so went for all black and I got blue for me plus a storage box for bobbins for sewing.
Right back to work now.

Thanks Daisy I paid via PayPal so hopefully another layer for them to crack lol. I’ve ordered before and it was ok. Cheap but not the best. I’m hoping this lot arrive on dgs birthday not the 10th as it says.Just played a really nice round of golf with dg as a pair. She did so well I was actually making mistakes. Then we had drinks and a panini with the people we played with them spa and swim. That is a nice way to spend a Sunday. Now we have to go home and sort the pool out it’s full full and we need to put chlorine in the hottub. Then more knitting as I’m using up all the yarn I’ve gotSave £12k in 25 No 49
