Still not that great this one takes 10 day apparently according to the burse at our GP practise. DG always manage to bring home the bugs or catch them and give them to me.
It has been good in terms of no spending though only bought cat food which we needed and got 94p cashback. also bought some stuff to take the glue of my HRT patches so far so good it works really well. Not got anything else done and the cleaner is due today so really need to tidy up downstairs. I have got some more squares done for the knitting blanket. I have got quite a bit of spare yarn now so have been looking at the pictures to work out what pattern the other squares are. I would like to make a cover for the pillow in one of the bed rooms that is a smaller project than a full blanket as I still cannot justify the price of keeping the subscriptions going for all that time.
Right I need breakfast hope you all have a lovely day.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Wow a bit of late money savings here, went in the loft to look at a pair of summer golf shoes purchased at least 5 years ago but I never got on with. Tried them on to find that they had the pair of medical insoles in them that I thought I had lost. That in itself is amazing as I really needed to get them to avoid having to change soles in shoes constantly. Tried the shoes on with my other insoles and do you know what they are ok they fit nicely. I can now confidently send the other pair back for sure and save myself the £50 I have spent plus the £150 I nearly spent on a pair identical to the ones I found in the loft. Happy days for sure.

Morning Friday what a rubbish week spent mostly in bed. I am back at work today I need to know what is going on before next week plus I am feeling better still coughing.
No spend at all yesterday packed the shoes ready to go back Not going to wear them for practise tonight as it will be too muddy but we can at least check if our golf bags and trolleys are in. I cannot wait to get them.
Spoke to DGs cousin yesterday and he is meeting us Saturday to do a trip down memory lane where their nan used to live so that is really good for DG and him as well. He is the american who came to live her in September his dad still does not know. Strange family lol. Saturday night we are going out for dinner near where we are staying so no taxi's. Cousin is staying in a hotel but we got two blow up beds so can stay with friend. Sunday we are going to where DGs mum used to live and DG has arranged for the bells to be rung. We are then heading back afterwards. Should be a nice weekend I just hope I continue to feel better.
Still have the massive list but things are getting ticked off. I need to book the flights for Summer today, DG and I do not agree on when we want to fly out so that is a stumbling point.
EDIT
Got a few things off the list this afternoon so just updated the list again.

Well done on the golf shoes savings and those pension contributions..
That house looks lovely (that sunroom area!!) but that gorgeous garden looks a lot of work ...
Hope you get fully recovered asap.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP that house sold straight away so it was obviously popular area and price etc.
We had a fab weekend I am shattered but it was so worth it. Friday we met with DGs cousin and mooched around where their grandmother used to live. DG even blagged herself into a solicitors office to see the building she had once lived in. We then dropped cousin off and went to pick up friend see her new house and dog (DG had been there before). Then set off for other friends house where we were staying. Its a posh area of Essex/Herts boarder so went out for dinner (they had booked it). It was lovely but expensive. Good quality and good sizes but £33 for steak and chips or £11 or prawn cocktail which was a thick piece of bread with 4 prawns and sauce on it. Dessert lovely but as I said expensive but we all paid for ourselves.
Late night at her house we all stayed cousin went back to hotel (it is a one bed so we camp in lounge on air beds and the sofa.
Sunday we got up late, had a Wimpy (I had never had one) then went to where DGs mum lived and DG had arranged for them to ring the bells for her mum. She lived right across the church and it was a lovely sunny evening so really nice. We took a wander then dropped cousin off and went back home. DG did tell her friends about the move to Denmark and the ceremony. One friend got upset but she will get used to it. We are still torn about who else to invite. Currently it is 4 two of them witnesses. Dg did want to invite the cousin but this is the first time we have seen him in a year and he has been in this country since September. We are for now keeping it this small as we just want a relaxed day and it makes sense not to have any family as mine would otherwise want to come which just gets out of hand and it is not the proper wedding as DG says.
I am travelling with work today staying overnight. I am almost packed but it is not raining really heavily so I need to change back out of sandals and into trainers as well as get the winter coat out again.
Did spend quite a bit at the weekend but only personal spend was a Costa and a chocolate bar. Even got a TGTG Starbucks from the services on the way back. It was ok only 3 items in it for a £5 but a lot less than if you had to buy it from the restaurant obviously.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Love the idea of having the bells rung in honour of DG's mum. How lovely.

Yes she was upset DG is moving away me less so lol.I’m such an idiot I’ve just left my suitcase in the train when I changed trains. It’s now in its way to Marylebone with my work laptop. Really could do without that but it’s reported missing so if the find it I’ll have to go and fetch it. So annoying indeed and kind of need it for work obviously. So hacked off with myself I usually travel with a rucksack but it’s a small case so put it on the luggage rack. Hopefully won’t get nicked. Conference was ace but feels less so now because of me losing the case.My manager was really nice about it but I’m fed up with myself. Dg is picking me up 25 min from home but it saves me 1.15 hour on the train so I’m grateful.I’ll update properly tomorrow but for now night from a fed up TG who is an idiot.Save £12k in 25 No 49
