Thanks all it means a lot I did love the pair of them so much and they were the only casualty in the breakup thank goodness no children still sad but they had a good life with my friends for sure.
I could not get back into work mode yesterday so we ended up going to the vets to collect the flea and wormer and then went via a cute little town where we found a posh coop. A friend lives near one and they have so much nice stuff than normal. We came away with the 7up and muffins. They were actually not that great but at least it could have been worse I actually wanted to go to a cafe. Diet wise yesterday was not that bad, all good food and small portions. We are getting back into the snack boxes we used to make to take to work with us in London. Its just crudities, parma ham wrapped in cheese, homemade hummus and grapes for me. Today we are both busy with work calls and dg has PT. So it is boiled egg and toast, then a smoothie for lunch and snack box as above for dinner after gym about 8pm. We shall see if DG manages to go to combat at the posh gym tonight.
My next knitting box is coming tomorrow it is a luxury to spend £25 just to learn to knit but I have completed all the squares in the last lot and instead of making the bag that came with it I have unravelled it all and I am not knitting a towel for golf instead. Much better use for the yarn and I am not starting a new project until I have completed the towel - there I have said it lol.
Work is really heavy today so best crack on with it the joys of coming back from leave.

Thomas sounds lovely - had a friend whose Maine Coon got to 19! Big hug
Definitely feels like the end of an era when pets last over a big breakup - iI had cats with a partner we broke up when cats were about 2 I think and I kept them - they lived to 16.5 and 17.5 yrs so when the last much loved one died it did feel like a final tie was gone. I didnt bother contacting my ex but most of the things we had had together despite a v long relationship were now gone and I stopped wearing any jewellery of that time even if I bought it..
Your RL experience sounds so annoying and these pension/tax complications - at least you arming yourself with knowledge to minimise the cost /tax to you which is winning.
I loved Portugal - am off to the Med this weekend myself for sun with a new SO .. first trip away together argh ... kill or cure.. are they ready for me in my Hilda Ogden rollers?
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP yes it is strange with those kind of ties exDH passed so there was no one to tell and I think that was what friend felt as well total end of an era as they knew exdh as well.
Good luck with the first trip away exciting and as you say it either works or it doesn't. My current DG and I knew each other as friends for two years before we became a couple. Then 8 months later we ended up moving in together in my 1 room in a shared Guardian place. There was lots of communal space but it was scary deciding we were effectively livinging in 1 room. It worked out great and here we are 9 years later still a couple.
I am sure you will have a great trip always good to get away and spend time differently together.
Busy work day yesterday and still playing catch up. Really looking forward to seeing my team next week when we go up to London it has been far too long. I really miss that human interaction.
I got LR sorted I just need to open the email and all the money is in my account to pay it over before the new tax year. I do want to up my work pension contributions as my wages are going up. I might mean I cannot continue to save for the Premium Bonds at the level I am but they are my emergency funds so it is ok. I get stressed when I have no money for unexpected expenses such as the fence blowing over or something breaking. It is great to be MSE and save but you sometimes just have to spend and it cannot be helped.
I cannot convert my Money Box general investment account into an S&S ISA it has to be cashed in. I will do this in the new tax year and then see if I am going to just stick it in my pension (now I know how to pay into that) and then start a new S&S ISA with them as I do really like the site.
My little £200 investment in CMC is now worth £221.51 which is a nice little increase. Only shares not to be doing better than start balance is BP lost £1.03, and Vodaphone £5.57 (21%) others are doing so well such as SAGE £9.78 66.8% increase nice that one.

Posting a bit later today as work is a bit behind still and I needed to get a script for a video done before 3pm. Turns out it is only 1min long my slot but mine bit is now 1.30sec so needs to be cut. I cannot really cut it so a bit stuck.
On a course right now about resilience it is very interesting but so far nothing really resonates with me I am good at taking time out of the working day and filling up my own mindfulness hopefully it gets more interesting later.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Course was actually not that good and now I am even more behind. So annoying but hey ho I could not duck out half way sadly
I am loving this warmer weather I am going to go for a walk tonight as I missed gym this morning. My calf is really hurting so I think some gentle exercise will be really good.
I have just done the recording so I feel so much better having done that it it is going to be shown on a huge screen and shared all across the country so that to right.
MSE there is not a lot to report, we looked at the EasyJet sale but it does not include Xmas but it did prompt us to look at Norwegian and found the ones we wanted and saved £150 over what we paid last year so that was good. Only problem was I booked the wrong ones so had to do it twice and paid via bank transfer. We get a full refund for the first lot so that is not an issue just annoying as we both checked it. I do prefer going Norwegian. I do need to push my sister for her leave in July so we can book the Summer ones. I cannot wait to move there so we do not need to spend money on this. If we want to come back to the UK we can be much more flexible and it will be cheaper as we can fly Ryanair to Stanstead.
Fence is done just needs painting I am sowing some seeds in my new indoor propagator which is really nice. I want to grow tomatoes and Gardeners World had some so that is really handy. Right best end there.Save £12k in 25 No 49
