Mortgage Free now aiming for FIRE

Time really goes fast here we are start of another week and DG is in the UK ready to start the big trial. I really hope it goes their way.
I am going to do the painting this week as my big family lunch is Sunday. I really need to get the house together but it is only a few walls so it should not take long. Famous last words I know.
I am going out to buy the paint in a moment and next door is a plumbing merchant and they have plumbers too so I will go and speak to them. Time is ticking to get one now or we will be without a sink and tap until I do after the work has been done.
I was waiting for my delivery but it is not at the local shop so all good I can actually go out and get the paint in a minute. I have had to order more knitting needles as I knit quite loosely so I need something smaller. Now I have my parcel I can actually start winding the yarn and get started. The raglan sweater is as far as it can go before I get the yarn from the UK on Wednesday.
I have done my social media and I forgot to say last week we actually had someone contact us and Dg spoke to them. She thinks he has 3 properties and might use our services. She gave him lots of advice but hopefully he will come back as a paying customer. I have really made me happy that my efforts are finally working. Well no money yet but still a start. DG has taken on a case for me to work on so that is all good. Once this big case is over hopefully things will settle down and she can cut down on her hours a bit. If only these big cases would settle life would really be good.
We saw our local Jysk furniture shop had a load of display stuff on 50% off and they had 2 green dinning room chairs which are more like armchairs really. Right now we use my sisters cast off chairs and some bought in a charity shop until the kitchen is done and I can see what I can fit in. We did use some garden chairs for a while and the cats love to lie on that. It really does not go so I went and got the 2 I saw Saturday after dropping DG off at the train. They were £93 for the 2 but had cost more than 50% more. They go perfectly in the pool bar as the green matches the dark green curtains and the rug over there. One will live in the house for the cats but it looks fine as it is a lot smaller than the chair that was there. I now have 9 chairs for the lunch on Sunday but I do need to take the 10th one to the tip as it is broken. Was one from the charity shop.
Still lets take a look at the to do list:
Do some crib sheets for DGs homework
Finances and personal:- Look at tax forms needed for DK re pensions.
- Get Pension policy documents from both pensions.
- Call RL & SW to get policy documents and change address SW is done
- List my stuff on Vinted. 8 listed 3 to go
- Chase scammer bootcamp instructor. DONE but still no money might have to chase again this week
- Send off to swap my UK driving license for a Danish one. You have to carry them when you drive but you can have them on your phone which is handy.
- Order Boots stuff for DG to pick up at airport I was too late it cannot be delivered in time so annoying
House stuff- Find plumber
- Paint dinning room with new green colour
- Paint bedroom wall and walk in closet.

Morning although it is almost afternoon here. It is still snowing and -3 definitely a long winter and a cold one. I am not sure all my tiny plants will survive which is a real shame but we shall see.
I got the paint and the shop is actually lovely we could have got loads of art supplies in there too and proper advice not like the DIY shops. I got a pink that matched the William Morris print and also the green that will be the same colour as our new kitchen units. I have finished the bedroom just needs to dry. It is darker than I thought it would be but I like it it is bold so might just need two walls doing. Just started on the green and I do love that. It is so calm but also pretty. I should have got DG to move the work top for the new coffee station as it is slate and so heavy. It is actually a coffee table top but we are going to use it for the kitchen. I am going to see how much I can do without having to move it. I might be able to lay it down.
The gardener is coming in the next few weeks to prune the trees so that is cool. I have no idea of the price but you can deduct it in tax which I still find weird but it is to stop people paying cash in hand.
My yarn spinner is perfect and the knitting needles are at the local shop so I can go and get them while the paint dries. Best get on with it I guess.

SO last day before DG returns and I have a load of stuff to finish that has to be done today. The party is on Sunday so I have to do a click and collect order for tomorrow so we can go and collect it. I have also not done DG crib sheet.
However I have completed the bedroom and I love it. The one pink wall in the walk in also looks great now our friend drawing really comes to light.
The lounge is nearly finished just a few bits to do once I stand the heavy slate top up again.
I have been battling with the bootcamp scammer again and after posting a warning to others on his old adverts he has now promised me the money by mid March which is when his next bootcamp starts. I have said I want half today or I will expose him more. Lets see at least he replied.
I do also need to finish winding up my yarn for my new sweater the office is a mess really.
Jumping class was great last night I really enjoyed it. Makes me really want to get back into exercise. Right here is todays list
DGs crib sheets DONE
Complete the painting DONE
Order food for Sunday DONE
Make list of what I need sister to bring DONE
Finish yarn bits DONE

love the decoration, but, have to say the cat is the real star here 😀
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Beautiful colours and what a lovely pussycat.

Thank you Mrs_Money_Penny, Watty1 and Loanranger21 much appreciated. Yes the cat is lovely so chilled out never tried to scratch us or bite unlike his ginger brother.
DG came back last night the train she was booked on disappeared so we thought she might have to book another one but she got on the one before and it was fine. They have a really funny system where you buy in advance and its like £12 for the ticket, then if I had bought it 3 hours before the departure last night it was £24 but right before departure it was £38 so quite a jump. That is why we had bought 2 x £12 tickets just to make sure she could make one of them.
I got another potential lead for the business yesterday which was very nice but I think he email had gone into a black hole somewhere so I am using my personal email until I can get the business one set up properly. This could lead to nice earner as we would set our own price and there is no 50% commission to pay for the lead.
Today we are going to collect the shopping in the big town and also have lunch out as it is our anniversary of our first date 11 years ago. We went to see Fifty Shades of Grey the first one it is also our song. Its also the 1 year anniversary of our Civil Partnership on Saturday.

Thanks Vandafc much appreciated yes this year has gone so fast and hard to keep up. Does not feel that long ago we were at the registry office. Funnily enough my friend who were our "best man" were told by the registrars he would make a good registrar. Fast forward he has a breakdown this year leaves his job and now has an interview for a position as registrar. Now how lovely would it be if he did get that!
We had a great day yesterday pottering around at the big shopping centre. There are so many lovely shops and independent ones you really can see what impact not having Amazon does. We had a lovely lunch too at our favourite cheap restaurant and got the shopping done as well.
We have the heating engineer coming at some point and my mum is also coming as were going to the cinema tonight (the small local one). She is staying until Monday as we have the big family lunch Sunday.
In other totally amazing news Virgin has paid up! (I need those blue jumping ones or Martin's head).
I could not quite believe it but great news and with the fines too so an extra £60.
It was lovely unpacking DGs case and getting all the stuff we ordered in the UK. The handles are great for the bar and the blackout curtain lining looks like it will fit perfectly. DG was 3 kilo over and had to pay. They let her take 3 extra. It was really heavy stuff we had ordered and she hates having a heavy rucksack but it is what it is. We need to take the car over at some point to stock up.
