I sold an item on Vinted as soon as I listed in and someone else made a silly low offer.
Visited the kitchen shop and he had made few errors in the quote so it is actually quite a bit cheaper now. I do not need draws in the new unit as we have enough and it is for a vintage China set am getting from my mum. We then went to the main shopping centre and got some art stuff for DG and some blackboard paint for the utility room. Next was Ikea £30 on plant pots and frames for my photo wall in the office very quick in and out but forgot to buy something to store wrapping paper in. Never mind next time.
Then we had lunch in the cheap steak place turns out the new chain owners are still doing it so that was nice. Tasked good too and £30 was a fair price.
We then did the bulk shop in the big store and used the 15% off we had got for collecting stickers on our Christmas shopping saved £25 so worth it. We did also have an iced coffee and a drink in the supermarket as we were both tired.
Woken up with a sore ear and half a running nose. Not nice but at least I am going to the GP tomorrow so if it gets worse I have an appointment at least lol.

Sold another Vinted item overnight that is not bad 50% success maybe having a whole new market helps over as one has been on there forever in the UK. Also found we had brought my plastic envelopes to post them over so that was a win too.
Did not get a whole lot of stuff done other than planted my pots up and they look great really pleased to have plants inside again not had that for years. I do need to buy a small one for one spare pot but that is it. We also finished the wine racks in the two draws in the pool bar they look excellent we are so pleased with them we might actually make 2 for the other ones. We just need another roof panel but we have everything else.
We had a remote control holder that broke and it could not be repaired so found something that will work instead and it was less than £2 so that was a win too.
This morning I need to do my facebook postss, my Linked In and also have GP at 1pm hopefully get my HRT sorted so I can feel a bit better. Also got a cold so not ideal but it is what it is we plough on.
I did buy a rug yesterday it was half price in Jysk I think it goes so well with the new picture (which still have not been hung up) and the sofa.

Morning I have been up early as the carpenter rang last night and said he has got the door for the poolbar and could fit it today. At first DG was not keen as she had just finished work but she agreed and they have been fitting it since 7am. I cannot wait to se it finished and today its frosty so it should make a difference not having the drafts come in. He also said he could knock down the wall in the kitchen today but then when I spoke to him he did not mentioned it. I am going to check how long it takes to order the kitchen as I do not want to wait forever with an exposed wall.
Stupidly I thought my investment account had been unlocked but it has not but it had not and I sent £50K over which was really stupid. It will get returned in 5 days if my account it not unlocked and that can take 5 to 10 working days and we are only on day 3 so not looking great. With all the crap going on with Trump and Europe including this country obviously it might not be too terrible to out of the market for a while.
GP rang me yesterday (the actual person herself) to ask if she could postpone my appointment as someone needed a home visit who was really ill. I said yes and I am seeing her today. She also wanted to extend my app so she could get to know me as a patient. Well so far so good lets see later today.
DG is not good she has a big case in court today and they think they are going to lose. DG is optimistic still if she does win the cases can be combined which will save a lot of time and cost. I really hope it goes her way otherwise she will end up having to pay the other side for this which is obviously not great.
I have done my linked in post and we had 18 views on facebook yesterday from those 3 groups but I need to find some more I can post in not just those 3 local ones.
This diary is now 138 pages long and 3 years old I am toying with the idea of setting up a new one to focus on my fire journey especially the investment side. Any thoughts? I love writing each morning as it helps me focus but it is not really MSE anymore.

Morning lots of progress being made here. The new patio door looks amazing the whole room is now so different with light streaming in. He is finishing off the trims today then it just needs filling and painting. Then the next bits to do in there is create some sort of box for the projector which is a floor model buy a bespoke one is silly money but we us mdf and walnut d fix to match the IKEA cabinets. The carpenter is also a brickie so he will come and remove the wall when we are ready for the kitchen to be installed. I have now got the dates they are early March which seems a long way away but its fine it is what it is.
Also went to the GP yesterday she took a blood sample and this morning messaged me with the results well that is impressive for sure compared to what I am used to. I have a referral to a gynaecologist as she does not know what the right steps are. They do not do HRT patches so that is interesting too. There is a waiting time for an appointment but I will not know until I call them. There are about 4 to chose from or some further away but they are a long way away.
I finally got that cushion cover done in the spare room using the off cut from the curtains. Its such horrible material to sew in so there is a line off centre which is not ideal but I am not changing it. I will put a photo up of the finished room. Cost £0 as I had everything the cushions from a very old garden set, the fabric and the thread. I like £0 cost projects.
DG got the result she wanted yesterday it was scary but she got there hopefully that stressful part of the work can now move forward again.
I am going to hem the curtains in the lounge today and get that stuff on Vinted that means the to do list for the house is doing really well. I cannot do anymore with the finance stuff as my account is still locked which is really annoying.
Today's plan to keen me motivated now that I am not doing actual work:
Book gyno
Message UK GP and explain
Look at tax forms needed for DK re pensions.
Hem curtains and
Vinted.House stuff
Hang up new picture
Hem the lounge curtains

The room looks lovely TG, well done on getting the cushion made, especially at £0! You’re really making progress there. Let us know if you decide to start a new diary.MFIT -T5 #423

Thanks Stoplurking it felt great to get it off my to do list.
The door was completed yesterday so we went to get the blind and the paints and fillers in the local town. The blind was a bargain in Jysk £50 for a 2.5m x 2.5 blind in black. Very happy. Now there is a huge to do list to do over there but that is DGs project so she can keep tabs. The light in the room is amazing now and it looks so nice from the outside like a proper building not a very large garage. I cannot wait for it to be finished and we have to crack on as we cannot really use it until it is.
Ordered the kitchen and now I just need to email the electrician and find someone who can instal the hot tap. I also need to pay for it. Hopefully our electrician can do it he knows we want some work done in the kitchen.
I still have 3 more things to list on Vinted a suit and top and my old curtains. I have a lot of interest in a Monsoon dress that had been on in the UK for a year so that is really cool it is on for £16.

Morning up early my sister is coming around later for a chat and pick up some stuff so that will be nice.
I have just tried to renew DGs driving license but sadly she need some ID app installed and she is too busy to do that so I now have to wait until she is ready. I do really hate her stressful work it is so annoying those cases can't just be finished so we can move on with things.
I did get a few things done yesterday but not all of my list I just could not face doing the tax and the Vinted listings. I messaged the UK GP and it looks like my prescription for the patches is on its way to the chemist. That is good news if that is it. Staying with medical I got my app booked its in end of April so at least I have one now and it is in the same town that has a display of Pergolux which is what I want for the garden.
I did a Linked in webinar yesterday because I am on the freebie Premium setting right now. It was actually really helpful and I did learn a few more tricks I can do. It also said you are now able to access LinkedIn learning which I had with work at one point and was actually really useful. While I am not busy with the new work I must do some courses maybe in AI or if there is anything around my new area of work that would be helpful.
We have the volunteering at the cinema tonight so that will be nice. Sunday is bawling with the golf ladies and hopefully we can get some golf in as well. I would like to progress with the DIY but I am not sure Dg is up for that.
Got a message on the family facebook and my aunt has died and the funeral is Thursday. I have just booked the vets for that date but I am not sure we are going. She was married to my uncle but I would really like to go just not on my own so it depends if my sister wants to go.

Lovely weekend cinema I met a lovely couple and now know how to do the shop side. We had a very chilled Saturday found a nature resort. Sunday we went bowling with the ladies from the golf club whom we have not seen since the autumn so that was really nice. We have agreed that until work comes in it makes sense I keep up the marketing but then also sort the painting and filling in the bar out rather than DG having to do it so she can keep working and actually rest at the weekends. I do not mind as it is stuff I can do and once done we can use the bar again.
I did take a look at the forms for the pensions but my god it is complicated I need to be in the right headspace for that. Still no further with Vinted either so stays on the list but I did get my HRT from the GP in the UK so that is really good news.

That sounds a good idea. Have you worked out an actual job description for yourself? I know if I didn't have tasks set out slightly more formally I'd just faff about doing all the pleasant things and fritter the day away. A proper job description and set working hours will let you both have regular working time and proper your-own-time together. Its so easy to let work creep into evening and weekends when wfh and for yourselves. Or to feel you really shouldn't be sitting in the garden on a sunny day or evening relaxing when there's that constant feeling of work to be done in a way that wouldn't intrude on your minds if you both worked at offices.
Sounds like you are both settling in really well
